Sad news! The whole reason I got into jailbreaking was to get away from att in the first place. I still hope we can somehow use prepaid sim cards on our iphone as per choice.

Iphone 3GS JB/UL iOS ver 4.01 working just fine. (T-Mobile USA). Haven't had any issues with push notifications. You might want to state the iphone and iOS your are using so someone can help.

Do like Th3Raja says, turn off 3G (if T-mobile USA you must do this), then just toggle airplane mode off and on. It should start searching for a signal. Of course, make sure your sim card is active and working.

Will Apples' latest itunes version 10.1.1 affect my 3GS in any way? I don't want to upgrade to 4.2.1 firmware because I want to be able to keep my unlock and JB. Is it "safe" to upgrade to it ? Thank you,

No current unlock for that baseband. If you want the unlock, the method described by updating to the iPad bb is an option or wait and sit it out! Read the post carefully so you can make your decision! Cheers

Was it working before the jb? Is it showing the wifi network but not connecting to it when you type the password? If so, try changing the encryption to "none" or no password to see if it connects. Remember to change it back once you're done. Try toggling wifi on and off.

Turn off 3G, toggle airplane mode on and off, reboot. Take the sim card out and put it back in. Sometimes it takes a while for it to finally get it to work. I did this last night until I got service...
