MetsBlog.com : Note: The Weather is Not Good in Cincinnati

He's the best starting pitcher in the league, and would be the most difficult player to replace-- with the possible exception of Carlos Beltran-- where he to suffer a season-ending injury. If, G-d forbid, Reyes or Wright or Delgado were to go down, it's possible that someone-- Cora, Tatis, or Evans... or Sheff-- could step in and provide a reasonable facsimile of their offensive numbers for a 2-month period (not likely, but possible). There is NO such replacement for Santana-- can you see Niese, Redding or Garcia doing what he did over the last two months last year?

It's also nice for him, insofar as he seemed the most outwardly geeked upon their arrival last night. (BTW-- If this whole new-stadium business doesn't work out, there's always money in the banana stand.)

Eminently doable... although the Marlins' pitching this year worries me. A lot. (When you can run a guy with a no-hitter on the resume who looked dominating two years ago as your 4, and a first-rounder with vast potential at your 5... you've got an explosive little stable.)
