In a world that has grown more progressive and free-thinking, the U.S. military is like a dinosaur trapped in long ago place that the world has moved beyond. Violence is never the answer. War is never the answer. Progressive change will make the military realize this. The U.S. military is overwhelmingly "straight", poor and few educated members. There are also many Christians in the U.S. military which makes it out of step with mainstream and progressive views.
