Man this thing is flip flopping more than Perry Klaussen of Hoboken 411 (Beth Mason's mercenary smear blog) Update 11/06/2013 3:55pm: According to a City of Hoboken source the current count actually has the No votes up by 50-60. The initial numbers given to NJ.com which was my source had three voting precincts where the numbers were either transposed or improperly counted. This is potentially good news for tenant advocates and bad news for vacancy decontrol advocates. Again this numbers are informational only. The final results won't likely be until Friday when the provisional ballots are tallied.

The Hudson County Numbers were missing one precinct. I got the numbers from NJ.com that include everything but provisional ballots. The missing precinct must have been heavily yes votes or additional absentees with a yes vote must have come in.

Joe Bakes - Fair question. The technique I use for producing many of my photos but not all is HDR which stands for High Dynamic Range. It is actually at least 3 images at different exposures that are merged to give the photo more visual pop or range. I use a software tool called Photomatix Pro to process the three images into one. One of my favorite effects produces a painterly effect that is indeed present in the two photos above. If you google the term HDR you will find many photos using that technique not only in this area but worldwide. As for why I do this technique, I like it as it creates more than just a photo. Not everyone one is a fan of HDR and I am still learning but feedback for some of my better photos has been positive and I have even sold a few of these. To me they are more visually interesting than a iPhone or normal photo and take more time to create.

Maybe do just a couple of streets and test out a pilot to see if this would help with the flooding. This would be better than going all in on a new type of pavement before testing it out first on a smaller scale. Just a suggestion.

Ryan Pelton is shooting a movie about Elvis called The Identical according to this article: http://www.assistnews.net/Stories/2011/s11110147..... I too will miss one of the best Elvis impersonator's but I am happy he gets to portray his idol. It is most likely the fulfillment of his dreams. I wish Ryan luck with the filming. He is currently in pre-production according to his website.

There will be thousands of people in Hoboken that day. The only way to guarantee you can get in is to go very early. Our guess is they could quite easily fill to capacity before the show.
