Pretty much hated it from the beginning and still do. It not only breaks the mane 6 dynamic and the 2/2/2 earth pony/pegasus/unicorn symmetry, it also goes against various core concepts of the show. If the whole transition were executed better maybe I could have liked it, but not like this. Also, I very much doubt this was the writers' idea even after that McCarthy's "every girl just wants to be a princess" nonsense.
