Who wouldn&#039;t like to see F1 cars in downtown streets, where you&#039;re typically gridlocked? When FIFA hosted the world cup in the US, the public seemed more interested in the sport, although it never came close to dethrone the NFL (I don&#039;t know why they call the superbowl winners are &quot;world champions&quot; when only one country is represented) F1 is THE pinnacle of worldwide automobile racing. Since the US always have to be #1, most of the public will not follow a #4 to #10 team. The US is one of the main markets for all of the manufacturers, so I don&#039;t understand why the FIA, FOTA and Bernie haven&#039;t been more pro-active about it. If there is an F1 US championship (with only US teams), we may get more fans that would more likely jump to the F1 World Championship.
