Everyone has their opinion and I find yours to be funny beyond belief, Mr Johnson. Let me get this right, if you had your way the only path to possessing legal MJ would be to GROW MY OWN??? Really??? Are you listening to yourself? (Try growing pot while undergoing chemotherapy.) I don't recall voting for the legalization of only growing MJ. I also voted to establish a legal system in which marijuana is regulated and taxed similarly to alcohol, also allowing for the cultivation, processing, and sale of industrial hemp. As for taxing the be-jeesus out of it like some on this thread are suggesting, why should it be taxed any higher than alcohol? What really needs to be taxed at horrific rates are foods containing sugar and corn syrup. They are the most burdensome to society, not blowing a little weed.

It goes up my craw sideways when universities charge embarrassing amounts of tuition so your child can be taught by TAs and the university officials continue awarding themselves huge pay increases. Heaven forbid 4 year degrees may be obtained on a budget...shocking.......Where's our priorities??

Although I've shopped at both the establishments in Louisville, as a savvy shopper I drive 7 or so miles to a dispensary in Boulder and save + - 20%. We need competition in Louisville to keep costs contained. There is potential for the two existing dispensaries to make BIG $$. Spread the wealth.

I hope everyone on this forum listens to my message. I am a retired librarian. When I was a reference librarian I was amazed by the amount of parents who would drop their "little angel" children off at the library while they ran errands around town. Nothing better than a free babysitter - right? The kids were noisy and out of control. They would disturb patrons trying to study, talk back and be pains in the butt. Once a parent actually called the reference desk from their cell phone and asked me to look for their child so I could send her out the door because the mom was too lazy to come in and get her. I kid you not. You never know the real story until you've walked a mile in someone else's moccasins.

Funny you brought this up. I just had my annual appointment with my Pot Doc. He advised me to stay within the medical arena for marijuana for two reasons - MMJ will have a higher cannabinoid level than non-MMJ, and there will be a 15% excise tax on non-MMJ. Personally, I think he is afraid of losing his business.

I wonder if it is still illegal to give it away? Here's my plan - I organize a church which you attend. At every meeting you are invited to tithe. You then take communion, which is ganga. The amount of communion you receive is proportional to the amount of your donation. Now the ganga is yours and you may take it with you. Anyone????

My understanding is that it will be illegal to smoke within a national park. I could be wrong, but state law enforcement officers do not have jurisdiction within federal or military installations. All law enforcement is the job of the forest ranger, everything from poaching, rape, theft, etc.

William Randolph Hearst is commonly cited in hemp legalization circles as being the force behind making hemp illegal in the 1930s, allegedly to make his forests more valuable.
