I admire your approach, but I would be terrified to let a friend read them. What if they AGREED with the criticism??????? Oh God, I feel sort of faint just thinking about it.

Beautifully written. I too have always been the fannish type, and can move somewhat alarmingly quickly from one obsession to the next. I didn't find my friends and fellow fans until my thirties. I wish I'd had them when I was younger.
