I have a HUGE problem with liberals... because they will always attempt to shove their views down our throats... and THEIR views make them 'domestic enemies'.... we too will attempt to push our views down their throats, but our views are based on the constitution, therefore we have the moral high ground. Ah, no mention of God, what a relief.
I imagine it is impossible for us to stop this silly debate.. you all will probably need Glenn to come in and stop this... I for one will bite my lip and try to stop wasting my time with this sort of thing, I hope you can too. There is real work to be done, and THIS isn't it.
Yes, God is in charge and you'll listen to him not gov't.... how much tax does God tell you pay, what's God charging these days to register your car, how much is God charging for gas this week... how about relax, realize you WILL listen to gov't, the gov't will control much that goes on in your home/work/school, and if this 'project' actually works we might, for a change, have those in Gov't that represent our values, have integrity, and actually work for US... if we could just stop talking about God, maybe those things could get done.
P.S. You CAN trust someone who doesn't believe in God to have all the aforementioned qualities... which is why Glenn's #2 grates on so many of us, and has led to THIS.
I imagine Glenn will have to close this sort of topic or nothing will ever be accomplished and only animosity will result.
We really could work together here, and not even MENTION God, really.
P.S. I'm proud of the fact that 'my' life won't fall apart without God, without God I won't suddenly begin to cheat, lie, steal, and murder... I don't have any addiction (except Carl's Jr. Bacon Cheesburgers... ummm) for God to save me from, and if I did, I'd handle that on my own.. I'm proud of the fact that 'I' am in control of my life, I don't look to anyone to make sure I do right... I'm a good and decent and moral person based on common sense ideas that come from living successfully within a society of other humans.
We can't really get away from distractions like this protracted discussion since God is so important to this movement... I'd MUCH rather leave God out and get on with stopping Obama and the like from destroying our Country.
But we humans do like to argue...
Many of us who are patriotic conservatives but do not believe in God find the notion that so many of you, and Glenn of course, seem to NEED to make the link that we must believe in God... Glenn likes quotes from the founding fathers that say as much, and Glenn 'needed' to include #2, since 'his' belief in God is so central to everything he does... including this project... sucks that Glenn couldn't have separated a belief in God from trying to save this country.
Human nature often finds us eager to offer up an opposing view... my comments are really a deep sigh, that religion has such power to disrupt, sidetrack, and even derail otherwise well-meaning people.
Glenn wants people to ignore the birth certificate issue... who's paying him off!! (that was a joke... or was it?)
Stop and take a look at the world.. God isn't giving or taking rights, men are. If God were running things we wouldn't need this project. Because Glenn made a belief in God so key to this project we are all running around in circles with each other instead of DOING anything... not what Glenn had in mind.
I wish what you just said were true. I wish Glenn would have left #2 out of this or not written it as to 'create' this debate... this project 'should' be about our Country and saving it from the current crew bent on destroying it. This debate shows how devisive the subject of God is and why it should be kept a good distance from government. We don't need a discussion of God at all, to make this project work. Too bad all this energy is going to waste.
The founding fathers were amazing, and created a wonderful framework for our system of government, just because they got the God part wrong I don't hold that against them.
