I am in agreement that all couples need a "date night" to keep the relationship alive BUT not on the taxpayers dime and NOT during a recession when a large number of Americans cannot afford more than a trip to McDonald's for "date night". And some can't even afford that!
And ANOTHER thing! Our tax payer dollars paid for his recent trip to LasVegas, Nevada where he spent 18 hours raising money for Reid's next campaign! Maybe he had a political meeting included in the trip's itinerary to make it "legal" to charge the tax payer, ETHICALLY, he is 100% WRONG!

Unfortunately, if you ask most Americans in the "below $40,000" income brackets", Which is more money, 100 billion or 1.5 trillion, they will say it is 100 million. The gov't can fool us because most Americans have NO CLUE what a trillion really is!

The way the gov't has so far handled ACORN is an outrage. Fox News has uncovered more than enough to justify a full blown investigation into where our tax payer monies have been going, however, DO NOT FEAR>>> The FBI is investigating the voter fraud allegations at the present time and I know from experience that when they start talking to people on the inside who have information they want to share, the investigation WILL lead to the area of finances and accountability of tax payer dollars. I am from Luzerne County Pa and the FBI was called in to investigate a couple of corrupt judges. That has led to investigating corruption in schools, local municipalities, community college and the like. They are doing an outstanding job exposing corruption in this state. They know what they are doing and they are good at it.

And YES, I agree that the VETS benefits should be a last resort cut, not first on the list.

I agree, taking care of the poor is not up to the government, it is up to the community churches where they can discern most accurately if the "poor" are truely in need or just looking for a hand out. If everyone tithed and took care of each other on a community level, we could do away with government entitlement programs and lower taxes big time. It always amazed me that God only asks for 10% of our earnings but the gov't asks for double and triple that.

Do any of you 912 followers know if the United States Justice Foundation out of Houston Texas is legit in it's requesting donations to sue Obama to force his hand in providing his birth certificate to prove his eligibility to actually BE our chief and commander? I receive e-mails for donations and a snail mail as well. If it is legit, I want to contribute as much as I can, but in this day and age of scams, I am a little fearful.

What are you saying?? He knew and associated with Navy friends that said "They never prepared us for the human shields, we had to decide to shoot for our lives through woman and children, or die" This was Vietnam!! I know it is much more worse NOW!!! These terrorists (excuse me, enemy combatants) think nothing of using woman and children as human shields.
I know this off course, you were talking of money spent, but this issue is still alive with many vets and current sailors, army, marines, etc
