Food for thought!! Whether you are for or against a government run health plan don’t you think that it would be in your best interest to have Congress on the same plan? If you agree, call your Representative in the US House and tell them to vote YES and co-sponsor H Res 615. Make Congress take their own medicine!! Read more below. Legislation you should read and contact your Representatives about: Govtrack.us is a great source to view these: H.R. 1913: Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 Congress will be voting this week. Love the title "Local". This is legislation to have the Federal government spend 5 Million of your hard earned tax dollars a year to help States deal with “Hate Crime Prosecution” and hire more Federal agents (at whatever cost necessary) to do this. I guess our State taxes aren’t paying for enough police. Some portions look ify about prosecution for perceived actions, motivated by, channels (internet?) etc… So many questions: 1st Amendment (free speech) problem? Equal protection under the law problem? Don't we pay State taxes for law enforcement?

Kim, You should suggest that she live there for a few years. After being tracked by the Guardia Sevilla (Civil Guard) constantly, she will learn to appreciate freedom in America. If she speaks out against the government they will haul her off to jail. I visited Spain and it is beautiful, but the Guardia watched exactly what I was doing all the time. Creepy!! It takes living in another country for a while, for some to truly appreciate what we have here.

I love the United States and appreciate what you and all our veterans have sacrificed for our freedom. There is no need for you to apologize; no American in their wildest imagination could have predicted that we would have to be defended domestically. Those of us who now realize that there is a threat of losing our "Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness" have a duty to educate and inform others about the Constitution and the intent of our Founding Fathers. We need to research future candidates and make sure that we vote for the correct ones in 2010 that will uphold their oath to protect and defend our Constitution in order to maintain the freedom that it provides us. You are a Patriot!!
