I couldn't handle this episode. It was just too much, and I love it.

In Stevonnie's dream/flashback in "Jungle Moon" Yellow says that the planet she's invading is inhabited.

Most people I've seen either love or hate this twist. I'm reserving judgment until we see how it's followed up. The writers have done a good job integrating plot lines and making complex characters so far, so I'm willing to trust them to handle this well. There's potential for a really multi-layered character who's done lots of really good things and lots of really bad things.

Actually, she kind of reminds me of Snape now.

Rebecca Sugar talked about the "My Pearl" line in an interview after these episodes aired. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qg3SR22g9ME

When I watched this episode I practically yelled at the screen for Steven to clarify that it was a vision of the past, not the future.

So much to talk about in this episode!

I'm so glad that Lars is showing so much character development. For a long time it seemed like he had the capacity for growth, but it didn't seem to be going anywhere.

I REALLY hope we get an episode with Steven talking to Sadie and Lars' parents. This is going to be really hard on them, and we don't know how they will react. Will they be angry at Steven for what happened? Will they be glad that Lars seems to have found a purpose? Will they want Steven to take them to Homeworld so they can see Lars?

I also really want to know more about Lars new form (body? person?). Is he immortal? It seems like Lion has been alive for a really long time without growing old. Is he like the Gems in that food and sleep are no longer necessary for him? Lion seems to eat and sleep when he feels like it, same as Amethyst does, but Lars doesn't seem to feel the need. Can Lars create mini-warps to jump through the way Lion can? Can he walk on water like Lion?

I have heard it theorized that Steven's healing/resurrection powers may be a sort of reversal of Rose's. We know that Rose had healing tears and Steven has healing spit. It was Steven's tears which resurrected Lars, which means Rose may have had resurrecting spit.

Fun tidbit- if you look closely at the collar of Lars' shirt it looks like it has been torn to create a star-shaped hole, which means Lars is wearing the emblem of the Crystal Gems!

Also, here's the million dollar question: What would happen if Lars or Lion went into the other's hair?

I love that Garnet foresaw two possible outcomes and brought a balloon for each. Not only is it a very Garnety thing to do, it shows that it was always possible for the situation to go either way.

"The humans had betrayed the gargoyles and stolen their remaining eggs."

Demona might have thought they were stealing them, but remember the pilot? Goliath made them promise to take care of the eggs.

I love that we see how Broadway has followed up on his desire to learn to read and that the skill has value for him here. I also love that it clearly shows how he is still learning, and so it takes him a few tries to get it.
