Sometimes "new & improved" isn't. Looks more like USA Today with more ads than actual news. Perhaps you could make it busier?!? As far as this being "the result of months and months of work by web experts and designers, journalists, artists and others at several newspapers from within our parent company Digital First Media" the final product seems to be a clone of DFMs other cookie-cutter sites. Not sure what this "think tank" was smoking or drinking, but I'd hate to see the price tag on this project. I don't know why they even bother with one for Boulder and one for Longmont, they're practically identical. The final touch will be to rename it The BoCO/LoCO Times-Call-Camera.
P.S. I've been reading the Camera probably longer than most of these web wizards have been alive, and removing the Flatirons from the banner is most likely the worst change of all.

LMG ~ What century are you living in? You, the TC and others might want to educate yourselves. While you are correct in that literally the word means same sex, it's considered a pejorative. I've included that definition just in case.

Name slurs can also involve an insulting or disparaging innuendo, rather than being a direct derogatory remark. Also, an ethnic slur or racial slur can be used as a pejorative to imply people of those groups are inferior or deficient.

This makes me very sad. The barn was over 100 years old, but that doesn't matter to banks and developers. They just see the land underneath the barn and the money they can make. Not the history behind the barn and the value of that ~ which you can't put a price on. All in the name of "progress". Many times "new and improved" isn't.

Ummm - it doesn't take 2 weeks to get a new phone and data accounts in order. You choose a phone carrier, buy a phone, pick a data plan, sign a contract, and you can be set up in about 2 hours.
