Big Government : Is the IRS Attempting to Intimidate Local Tea Parties?

Actually it is worse than that - out of the 50.5% who remain, a fair percentage work for the government. While some of these may be necessary for society to function, ALL are paid FROM tax revenues. Any taxes they pay merely return some of that to the treasury - They do not add one cent to the overall tax revenues. So the percentage of people who are actually carrying ALL the others is well under 50%. Like any business, a certain number of workers are producers, billable-employees, income-generators. The rest are "overhead" - if the percentage of "overhead" employees gets too large, the business collapses. Just like our country.

I just looked at Gallup's "Daily Presidential Approval tracker" Right now Obama has 45% approval and 48% disapproval At the same stage of their Presidencies: Carter had 52% approval GW Bush had 49% approval Nixon had 56% Clinton had 53% Doesn't look as good for the great "O" as he and/or the MSM try to spin it.

Let's all agree on one thing here, Whoever wins the Republican primary, everyone needs to get behind him/her 110% I don't want to hear anyone from Karl Rove to the most ardent Tea Partier, to any Paul-bot saying that the candidate is not who they wanted and trying to persuade others not to vote or to go 3rd-party. FOR THE SAKE OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY, WE SIMPLY HAVE TO GET RID OF OBAMA AND AS MANY DEMOCRATS AND RINOS AS POSSIBLE. ABO 2012

Your own posting on THIS page: "Like most Australians I don't want Conservative Americans in my country. " Like most on the left, I guess you don't even know when you're lying since you do it so often. So now who is delusional. Anyway, time for me to go off to work and earn a few bucks so I can keep the Liberal dependents in the subsidized style that they seem to think they are entitled to. By P_Gal, I won't say "It's been fun" but I also will not miss your infantile name-calling, shallow arguments and confused logic. L_J out...

Thanks to liberal policies, almost 50% of Americans pay no taxes. Most of these receive taxpayer-funded welfare of one sort or another. Of the remaining 50-52% a fair number are government employees, be they City, State or Federal. These are paid from tax revenues so they contribute nothing to the tax base. Any taxes they pay are just a percentage returned to whence it came. They also receive generous taxpayer-subsidized benefits and perks. For most, their daily productivity is low. So something like 43% or less of American workers support the rest. By the government's own reporting, waste and duplication is rampant. A recent GAO report <a href="http://(http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d11318sp.pdf)" target="_blank">(http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d11318sp.pdf) listed over eighty bodies spread across ten agencies in Washington DC that ALL "regulate educational standards". We got along just fine for over 200 years without even one Department of Education at Federal level. Each one of those "bodies" has over-paid, over-benefited employees, each has expensive offices, overhead expenses, allowances, etc. ALL taxpayer-funded. Any wonder why not enough money reaches the classroom, where it is actually needed? There are so many more examples of this kind of thing. As envisaged in the US Constitution, government should be a SMALL, symbiotic appendage that exists to facilitate society. Instead, we have a monstrous, bloated, wasteful parasite sucking the life-blood out of the economy. As you know, most parasites seriously harm, if not kill their hosts. This one is no exception. Liberals have grown government so that they can create a large dependent class that will feed their needs and ensure their wealth - just LOOK at the Democrats - most are multimillionaires, if not Billionaires, their backers are even more wealthy. "The party of the poor" - hah! No, it is the Liberal/RINO plague that requires eradication.

You're a fine one to talk about personal attacks when so many of your postings include puerile name-calling. Your "facts" are almost all from Peter Sinclair's website. He himself admits to freely copying others' work since he is not a scientist himself. He does however only copy stuff that suits his agenda and has no way of validating what he copies.

"The most dishonest presidency in U.S. history." Clinton beats that record by a wide margin. There is hope for Bill C. though. Obama & Co. are making a grand effort to take that title by an unassailable margin.

IF your bill is at that level (and typically the government taxes, regulatory fees, etc. by themselves are way more than that so I question your number. I assume that you're talking about just the energy consumption component and that you have a solar PV system. Are you aware that PV systems are only economically viable because they are heavily subsidized through tax revenues collected from hard-working Capitalists that you despise so much. Note too that the manufacture of PV panels uses all sorts of toxic materials, causes much pollution and has a negative end-of-lifecycle cost. They also cannot be recycled. Remember also that every dollar that you receive in subsidies represents $1.50 or more collected in taxes. The delta is what is lost thanks to our grossly inefficient bureaucracy.

If "most minorities in America" do indeed support the Democrats, it is mainly because the Dems have cynically created a dependent underclass, permanently on welfare and obliged to do their bidding. Welfare programs just trap those people into a never-ending cycle of dependency. Liberal-driven erosion of family structures serves to reinforce that dependence. I invite you to look into the history of the Democratic Party - right up to fairly recent times, there was plenty of overt racism on that side of the table. In the past few years they have merely learned to hide that racism under a veneer of false caring. Prime example: "Obama's gonna pay my mortgage, he's gonna pay my gas!"
