I had the same problem with a 3GS, but even more strange is that the name of the official carrier showed up. Since it is apparently not easy to revert to 9.1, I had to set as a new phone with a custom 3.1.2 (I was happily on 3.01 and did not need 9.2). Got most of my app back from iTune restore and now batery life is as before (more than one full day) and the proper carrier is showing. So from the posts and my experience, the solution is to re-jailbreak and reinstall ultrasn0w.

How do you get back to the previous version of ulrasn0w. I upgraded from Cydia when iu saw it offered. I assumed (wrongly) that it was the thing to do. Now it seems that I have battery life issue (not sure though) and the logo of the official carrier shows although I am not on the official carrier. I would very much appreciate your help on how to downgrade from 9.2 Thanks

I do not have the 3.0 on file, only the 3.1.2 You are right that it may have been just a glitch with my unit. I will wait a little and jump on the 3.1.2 train. Any possibility to revert to Ultrasn0w 9.1?? this is waht I want to try before going on to 3.1.2

Thank you for the suggestion, but this would be for me the last option as I am very happy with the older FW and BB. that being said I may have no choice, but I would like first to try reverting the latest changes, i.e., Ultrasn0w 9.1 and maybe older mobile substrate. I tried to reset the network settings while on flight mode, but that also did not work. It's like email, be careful before pressing the "send" button! Any other options?

I just did that but it does not work. Any idea how to revert to the previous version (9.1). I wrongly assumed that the update proposed by Cydia was OK to install. Could it be the updated mobilesubstrate that cause the problem? If yes, how to revert to both previous versions that were workink perfectly for me. The decreased battery life is not longerjust a feeling but a reality.

I have a 3Gs with FW 3.01 and BB 04.26.08 I installed ultrasn0w 0.92 automatically from Cydia with the new version of mobile substrate (I should know better, but it is too lste now). When I synced the phone with itune, it asked me to insert an official carrier SIM, whcih I did but now the logo is that of the official carrier, even though I am using a non-official carrier. I rebooted, de-installed and re-installed Ultrasn0w, toggle on and off flight mode, to no avail. How to revert to version 0.91 if this is the problem. or is there somethiing else to do? Help will be very much appreciated.
