Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Green Madness?

Just incase we have failed to remember the statement made by one who knew these things to be true, "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them." Thomas Jefferson

May I suggest: End the practice of Welfare at the Federal level. Each State/County should be responsible for it’s own persons. It is my premise that if each county were held responsible for their citizens they would design better productivity and planning for their community instead of relying on the Government to always be there bailing them out. It is my hope that gathering a movement on the end of Social programs at the Fed level would not only be more in keeping with our Constitution, free up a tremendous amount of monies by their disappearance at the Federal level and place the responsibility upon us in each community. Oh course by doing this many persons would be off the Government payroll and looking for a real job.

Your arguement for legalization of drugs in my memory, did not solve the problems of Alcohol. Between the laws put on the books by insurance companies not to mention the lawsuits bogging down our Court system, and the many innocent lives that have suffered from it's use, I would far rather just dispose of the problem here and now.

I would like to know about the structure that was set forth by the forefathers. For some reason I do not recall the words, 'electorial college' albeit it certainly helps the media with it's reporting and declaring winners before all the votes are counted. Seems to me a research of the Constitution and History might reveil a more useful truth.

jerash, SFoster, RobertHoag, Yeah to all. Here is what I would like Glenn to do. Devote one program to this discussion. If memory serves, Governor Huckabee would serve well for the Fair Tax arguement. Allowing all to hear both sides.

Well said Sir, Social programs especially were never intended for Federal Government intervention. Holding each state responsible creates a voice of all the citizens.

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence. You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." Abraham Lincoln

Here is what I would love to see as starting points: Initiate the FLAT TAX immediately. Cleanse and rescind the rules and regulations, additions and amendments from Government back to the year January 3, 1956. End the practice of racial separations i.e.: White Americans, Hispanic Americans and Asian Americans. The list goes on and on. We are either Americans or we are not.

Something for you to think about: Clean up the foolishness being taught in Schools. I would prefer each went to a trade school rather than come out of school with this ridiculous ‘Disneyland, make believe’ attitude. I challenge each of you to READ what is being taught your children in school. Not only is it subtle but also misleading. My second challenge is for you to research the organization known as World Wildlife Fund. Do your research and connect the same to your children’s books and then ask yourself, “Do I truly want to be financially supporting this group?”

Here is what I would love to see as starting points: First, Seal the Borders immediately. The responsibility for oneself lies within each of us. Bring back the LAW. Next: End the foolishness of young people having a ready-made excuse for ignorant actions, no more sealing of records until they are 18. Teach for every action is a reaction. The idea that you can be as ugly as you want until you 18 then, immediately you just instantly know right from wrong as you step through the portal of adulthood is ludicrous and dangerous.

If you have any doubt what our Nation will look like in the future simply look at CA. She has done such a great job there. I'm told you can't undo what they start, well hah! I'm looking for leaders who are not going to create new and more laws. I want a bunch of people that will go to DC and start abolishing the laws of the past 40 years.

I heard our President for two years plus. My problem is this, never in my wildest nightmares could I have imagined that he would do ALL at once. The Government has always moved slow. Hours of debates ect. Now we have a problem of a Government 'to big for it's britches". They just say, "Here it is, no matter that it hasn't been thought through or even given a plan, but take it folks cause "We won and it is our turn." Good Grief Sorry Sir, but YOU WORK FOR ME.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : The Treasury Secretary Wants More Power To Seize Companies

As for the Auto makers, only in America could we possibly make a product as expensive as our 'big three'. First, we have to take much of the blame because every time 'we' insisted that they make some 'safety' change the price went up another $1,000.00 at minimum. Right now there are plants closed. We also have military equipment that needs a re-birth. If I heard correctly the pentagon has the Dollars in their budget. Keep the pressure on those who are about to join the rest of us in the unemployment line, “those” being our "LEADERS" Thank God for ELECTIONS.

I, like many, heard our young President tell us where he wanted to lead this Nation over and over .So, I can hardly voice surprise with the exception of this, never in my wildest thoughts especially considering how long in normal times it takes to push something through the House and Senate; did I ever believe that he would 'do it all' in less than 60 days. I truly believe that enough is enough. I say Chapter 11 for all of them.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Are We Spraying Agent Orange Along The US Mexican Border?

I am really stumped on this problem. A possible solution could be looking at it in a different direction. I apologize for not knowing what County this involves however they most likely have many serving in jail as most all of us do. So, we could use that $2.1 million that is set aside for this pilot spraying project this way. A chain-gain comes to mind. 1.1 miles isn't that far and should you have the attitude of another of our law enforcement officers you could clear the entire area in short time and the county would not need that many dollars (be certain that one of the major costs would be to haul away the garbage always left behind.) The exercise would be good for them and the phrase, 'No work, no food' truly would apply. However extra good food for a job well done could certainly be applied plus a reward to the most work turned in by a team. Competion is always good for the sole.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 65,000 People Ask Notre Dame to UN-INVITE President Obama to speak

Asked if Notre Dame is considering rescinding its invitation to Obama, university spokesman Dennis Brown said Tuesday: "I can't foresee that occurring. We made an invitation to the president and he's accepted. We expected criticism and it's nothing beyond what we expected." WE EXPECTED CRITICISM AND IT'S NOTHING BEYOND WHAT WE EXPECTED. This last sentence say's it all. They wanted the termoil, they got it. I hope Notre Dame is allowed to vote their leaders out as we will very soon be doing? By the way to the gentlemen known as BenGleck, may I respectfully suggest that your selling point for attendance to Harvard or Yale falls flat.
