I was rooting so hard for Poli Genova! She BROUGHT IT in pure Eurovision style! Her light-up body suit! That massive light-up earring that I thought was a shoulder ornament! The dance! All she needed were some overly enthusiastic backup dancers and some wild props & she would've been pure gold. I wish she had done better than 4th, but given that it was the best result for Bulgaria in ESC history, I won't complain too much.

LOVE LOVE PEACE PEACE THOUGH! That was the absolute peak of Eurovision & no one could even vote for it! That said, I was a bit disturbed with myself when I understood all of the references...

What troubles me the most about the reaction to the Attawapiskat suicide crisis is that people are only focusing on sending out bandaid solutions instead of wanting to address the root problems: insufficient & overcrowded housing, & a severe lack of basic facilities or general infrastructure.

I would never argue that this community doesn't desperately need counselors and/or mental health professionals, but all of that won't amount to much if a person living on that reserve isn't able to meet even their most basic human needs.

My heart cries out for these kids, that they suffer so much because we - Canada - fucked their community (and all First Nations/Inuit communities) up so royally. It's just wrong on so many levels.

I find them to be very light and breathable, but I still wear no show socks whenever I wear these shoes or any other flats.

Smoking slippers are my favourite variety of flats & I want to fill my closet with them! I'm not terribly keen on the ones here, BUT Aerosoles have a line of smoking slippers in their S/S collection & I'm obsessed. (I have the Betunia in Pewter, sooooo comfortable)
