And here is where I'll post a theory that might just make y'alls jaws hit the floor

Attley's realization helped me connect the dots. So stay with me here.

Sammy was most likely after Nimbus, and probably because he is the guy who went into hiding so he wouldn't have to be Director. (the guy in the blue jacket back at the circus, cause Windy wouldn't put in details for nothing... GREAT use of sneaking in detail)
Posey wants them to meet. We know this because of how she tells Sammy that she wants Attley and this "other target" to meet.

She's leading them :3

However, this also brings up another important question. What importance does Attley have, if she is just some regular 16 year old girl in the 1920's? Well that's where I need to correct myself, because she ISN'T NORMAL.

If you follow Windy on twitter, you may have seen a sketch she posted with a list of characters, along with fears like Trypanophobia, ect. They were most likely Scarecrows... and let me explain why I think this. Remember back when Posey fought Luth? It shows Posey become this weird, mannequin-esk thing. I believe, that the Scarecrows can use all their powers, but at a cost of revealing their weakness. That would also explain why Posey used a wind-up key on the Bagel man (we will never forget you bagel man w_w) They tend to lean on their weaknesses, to be their strength.

Now, let me get back to Attley. Why would demons attack her, but nobody else around her? Well, we know Demons can't be harmed by humans, BUT we know Scarecrows have the power to attack, and KILL demons. I think, Attley is a scarecrow. Now I know it seems outrageous, but stay with me. We all have speculations on the scarecrows, and how they were as kids (as a Q&A revealed they were kids at some point) BUT, what if they were born, unaware of this? What if a scarecrow grew up, without knowing he, or in this case she, was a scarecrow? This is where Attley comes into the picture. We have seen Attley, not once, but TWICE use "wrong" to trigger dread in Attley. This is her weakness, and Posey knows this because she knows Attley is a scarecrow.

Welp, I'm sorry if you had to scroll down a little bit, cause I know I wrote a little much for a webcomic, but It is really fun to pick out the pieces and finally solve the mysteries that havn't been answered. So anyway, sorry for the wall of text x'D
