Well, if we're going to get all into it, the more powerful vampires have no such weakness or aversion to the sun, such as Bram Stoker's Dracula, where he often ventured out during the day. Indeed, even in most books or pen-and-paper rpgs I've played it's the same, where after becoming insanely powerful and taking a hundred-year-sleep, they are immune to the affects of sunlight, garlic, and most holy relics.

Am I the only one that thinks the Halo Reach: Haunted Helmet pumpkin looks like that undead pilot from that one episode of Venture Bros.? The one where Rusty is looking for his father's crashed ship in the ocean and the boys and Brock get set upon by fake ghost pirates.
