McCain's major flaw is that he can't let himself believe that he suffered in the Hanoi Hilton for people who don't have the best interest of America in their heart's. He wants desperately to believe the Democrats have the best interest of the country in mind. That is how they continually take advantage of him. He fails to see the manipulations of the hard left that wants whole cloth socialism.

I agree. We need a new party. I have quit giving money to the Republican Party. I quit when they nominated McCain. I think the party has been coopted by liberals and left leaning moderates. They went for McCain at the media's urging that "McCain is the only one who can win." Once the media had what they wanted, they turned on McCain with a vengence.

Then we can move on to high school and then college. This will allow us to save a generation and make them indoctrination proof as they go up the academic ladder. Although I can't recall his name, a famous secular humanist educator made an arrogant and frightening statement to the effect that, "we have their children for eight hours a day, and they only have a couple of hours to counter what we've taught them." That statement angers me every bit as much as if he was bragging about molesting my child, because that is essentially what is going on.

It's time to take back our schools.

I'm tired of going to do battle with my child's school continuously for their tireless and ceasless leftist indoctrination of our children. Too many parents have the don't rock the boat mentality. They are afraid to speak up when they see something wrong, because they are overly concerned with the possible retribution against their child's grade point average. That is how the school system's tyranny is allowed to thrive. It is time to hold their feet to the fire. It's time to get litigious at the drop of a hat. After all, that tactic has worked wonders for the left. It is high time to use their tactics against them. By the leftist's own policies, they won't fail your child. Their grades don't count until they hit high school, so let's start hammering away at the elementary and middle schools pushing for change in these venues first.

Look at what our university professor's have been able to do. They have turned their indoctrination into a political victory with electing an untried and incompetent man as president. The irony is that this group of youth has created a perfect storm that will hurt them in the long run. In 2010, the baby boomers are supposed to begin retiring, but now, due to Frank, Dodd, Schumer and corporate greed, they won't be able to do so, their retirement accounts having been decimated. They will stay in their jobs or compete with the recent grads for shrinking employment opportunities. Without wholesale age descrimination in their behalf and/or companies choosing low starting wage earners over experienced higher wage earners, they will lose and find themselves unemployed and dependent on the government they have put in place.

Personally, I believe the current economic situation to be the left's greatest achievement. They have carefully and willfully staged a situation that will allow them to gain full control. The pain and fear works in their behalf, and they know it. The more desperate and frightened the people become, the more control for security they will be willing to accept. The left, at this, point has reason to be arrogant, but we don't have to let them get away with it.

Absolutely! We should change the presidency to one six year term with no second term. Congress should be limited to six two year terms. The senate should be limited to two six year terms. There should be no going from either body to the other, pick your house and that's it. I'd love to see a discussion of the pros and cons of returning to senators being appointed by the respective state's legsislature. The days of politicians making Congress a career should be brought to an abrupt end. I'm tired of the government arrogantly ignoring the concerns of the people.

I'm all for a fair tax or a simple tax. Our system has become ridiculous and unwieldly. As long as there is a group that isn't participating in paying up, we will have a Congress amenable to buying votes with our money and a constituency willing to call for benefits at other's expense.
