While I can't say how other people might run their raids, I personally try to praise people and will rely more on those people who are doing what they are supposed to, not those who are at the top of the meters. Of course, I most greatly admire those who can do both their job correctly and have awesome throughput at the same time.

That is true. I do think Recount/Skada can be useful if used correctly. I like to think that I use Recount well - as a spur to do better, but not at the expense of doing my job correctly. But that's less fun to write about than those meter-humpers who DO fail all the time because topping the charts is more important to them than the raid's over all success. Man, I hate those people.

Heh - I have no idea what warlock pets can do. I mean, I have a warlock but she pretty much flies around getting herbs and it's been years since I played her much (beyond getting her to the new cap).... so yeah, when I say this was well researched and totally scientific, I was lying a little.

I have seen the MP5 in hunter gear as well, so I know what you mean. I find myself hoping more and more that when I see things like that or the 0/0/71 builds that they DID but the toon off ebay. Otherwise, I have no idea how they even got to 80 without learning anything. I've often noticed that same thing about people who complain - they are often performing to a subpar standard themselves! I could cite examples, but yours does just as well. It's crazy! Of course, there's also the people who claim to research and then you find out that they never use a core ability so you have to wonder if they're complete liars or if they're reading notes from Vanilla.

Thanks for the compliment! And yes, I have had people declare that they are "too poor" to enchant anything they won't be keeping for months, which always made me facepalm quite a bit. Partly because enchanting things has gotten to be so inexpensive (and we've long DE'd all unused drops from raids and put the mats in the guild bank to sell for 1/2 AH prices to guildies) and party because there is no saying how long it might take for you to get that upgrade that will finally be 'good enough' to spend the money on. It can be quite maddening.
