Hi LW, good to see you over these parts! Thanks for the suggestion, was told to have a look at them and Capital Spreads as well. I've been playing with a Capital Spreads demo and not sure what to make of it so far. Having instances of slippage on that as well, so it doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Maybe I expect too much! A breakout trade I guess, I was relying heavily on it breaking the two previous highs / resistance areas I had pointed out to the left. But I was happy to go with it as we'd formed significant support around 3260/70 area. You could say it's with the trend too, we've been moving north for a while now. Still holding at the moment anyway with my stop at 3420.

Hi Trin, thanks for the comment. I unfortunately got stopped on this trade. As I mentioned in the post, it was a contentious area and a trade that would've been better off avoided. I'd noted the fact it was contentious and already a respected area so this should have been a warning sign to me!

Hi Trin, thanks for commenting! Yeah I made some € and hit my account target that I set myself for before Christmas so I dunno why I'm mentioning it really. It's pretty rare we're going to get out at the absolute limits of the trade after all. I must work on leaving trades in the past and looking for the next best one as you suggest. Cheers, Liam

Nice idea actually but yes, the target has been hit. Last significant high on the 17th Sept at 3170. A 13 box reversal giving 390 target which was hit at 2780 on the 1st November. It did take the scenic route to get there with an intermediate high at 3130 on the 17th Oct. A little harder to take a count from here, any counts I do take have been hit by now anyway. Interesting reply. I forgot to mention that Battlefield 3 is now my preferred shooter, i've logged plenty of hours in that! I often feel like those hours could have been better applied to studying charts or reading a new trading book or whatever. I see what you mean about trades, trades, trades. Perhaps I should give the Sierra replay feature a run out. Thanks for the reply as always.

Answering the question directly I say I work part time in an off licence which for the most part I enjoy. The other time is spent working from home. Generally people aren't interested enough to pursue it further. With regards to trading I don't offer the information to people any more. When I first started I was telling everyone that would listen, I had this excitement after a few months successful testing and I wanted to share it with everyone. But after getting so many negative responses along the lines of "you'll lose your shirt / roof over your head / food on the table" I decided to stop. Their responses brought me down and made me question myself. I understand that they didn't understand but I find it easier not to go down that road. Also, there's the fact that I haven't made anything this year so that doesn't help when you say it to people!
