Loveland Reporter-Herald : Loveland City Council sends another message to governor on gun laws - Loveland Reporter-Herald

Admirable but futile. The Governor answers not to the citizens of Colorado but to Progressive Leaders from around the country. The President and the Nations Mayor Michael Bloomberg looked favorably upon The Governor and Democrat Legislators when they enacted these laws. They need no further affirmation and certainly won't be recanting these laws.

Daily Camera.com: : Erie-based Magpul begins making ammunition magazines outside Colorado - Boulder Daily Camera

It's unfortunate but I think Magpul made the right decision. Firearm manufacturers in other states - Connecticut for example - are looking at moving out as well. But - don't expect those who imposed the laws to care. To them it's akin to Magpul saying they're taking their toxic waste dump to another state. The answer to this isn't in railing at Democrat Legislators expecting them to change their mindset and votes. That's a waste of time and effort. The answer lies in the next election. Those who oppose what happened need to be working now to elect their candidates. They need good candidates, not idiots like Dan Maes. They need to start the campaign now - the Democrats have never stopped theirs.

The FN Dish : Restaurant Revisited: Barolo

WRT coming here for follow... At first I chafed at the idea but in fact it's good. We used to - and still sometimes do - go online looking for Yelp reviews and so forth while the show aired. Now we can come here and get back story from people familiar with the restaurant...people who have been there - people who have worked there. They could still put up the sales result - "Up 37%" at the end, but this is where you come for the rest of the story. WRT these and so many other owners...while we enjoy the show it's obvious that most of the owners have no business being in the business. I also agree with those who ask - in so many cases - where is the Health Department? All told - we're fans of RI :-)

I'm shocked and saddened. Like the others here I've come to depend on him to stand up to the thugs and bullys on our behalf. Now we must learn to stand up for ourselves. Condolences to his family.

Dennis Prager is - IMO - the best conservative voice on radio. I'd put Hewitt next unless he's being snarky about who went to college where or who likes what football team - as if anybody out here cares.

Yes - I well recall - every election in which the Democrat takes the popular vote but not the electoral vote is illegitimate in their eyes. But you didn't see that when Obama won. At any rate it's irrelevant. You have to carry sufficient electoral votes to win This isn't a national popularity vote - it's 52 individual elections for Electors.

There won't be any debates. Why would Obama want to engage in debates? What good will they do him? There's no mandate to participate in debates. There might be one or two but they'll be media controlled charades.

Well - it's like trying to decide which candidate to back based on who can beat Obama in a debate. There aren't going to be any debates. At least not any real debates - debates that aren't heavily controlled. Look - I can't imagine how Obama can be re-elected any more than Jimmy Carter could. But because people here on this forum think he should be defeated doesn't mean that way more people over on HuffPo don't think he should be re-elected. Barry Goldwater was by far the better choice in '64. Johnson won 486 to 52. It can happen again.

Ok. Well - like they say - that's why they play the games. We'll see how it goes. I think Obama has a very good chance to win. Just look at all the negative crap that's come out of his administration - and yet there's no hue and cry in the media. Gas at record high prices. Tonight was the first time I've heard NBC news use the phrase Pain at the Pump...which was used against GB every other day whenever prices rose 2 cents. Obama has trashed the constitution and yet there's no outcry in the general population. If you think he can't win...I think you're mistaken But...we'll all gather here in November to recap. I hope I'm wrong. And: I'm just one guy with one vote. I'm not trying nor am I capable of forcing anything. I'm just stating my opinion.

Your enthusiasm is admirable but in a Paul / Obama race I - who wants nothing more than for Obama to be defeated - will sit out. He guarantees a second term. Any 3rd party candidate guarantees a second term.

Well - I'd say two things about that... 1: John McCain was the worst GOP presidential campaigner in my memory. I voted for him with extreme regret. 2: There was no candidate the GOP could have run that could have defeated Obama - especially once he came out of Iowa with the win and the media jumped in the tank with him. None. It was an inevitability. Look at all the issues that they tried to raise against Obama...Wright...his refusal to release any transcripts...his backtracking on taking public finance...on...and on... none of it stuck. Now there's a track record. I - for one - don't like it. I'll vote for his opponent. But I alone cannot secure his defeat. Running a candidate that alienates half the voting block is suicide - plain and simple. If he'd just said that he personally follows the teachings of his religion - in which he believes - but he recognizes that his beliefs are not universal nor universally accepted - it wouldn't be a big deal. But he keeps digging the hole.

Committed conservatives alone cannot defeat Obama. It will also take the independents and Democrats who have Obama Regret Syndrome - and there are legions of those people. Rick Santorum will not get those votes, even if it means Obama's second term.

Breitbart.tv : O'Reilly On SNL: 'What Up With That?'

Am I the only one who thinks the current cast cannot carry the show - hence the need to bring back past cast members. When they do the show can have good moments. The Jimmy Fallon show was the best of the whole season. Amy Pohler makes anything good - especially Weekend Update. They even dropped Mya Rudolph into a photo of the original cast for one of the bumps.
