Narendra ji, I will give one simple example showing that why India doesn't act like a democratic country.. Sikhs are being denied to get different marriage act which is "Anand Karaj Act" for the last 50+ years in India. British before 1947 approved Anand Karaj Act but it was India who repelled it and till today continuing denying Sikhs this basic religion right. Sikh religion is totally different religion than other religions in India; Islam, Hinduism, Christianity. We have different language, culture and Religion but still today whoever get married gets the certificate of "Hindu Marriage" . We have nothing against any religion but still we definitely don't want anyone to label us hindus.. just like no hindu would like to label of muslim or vice-versa.

Bravoo.. you came up with strong defense.. maybe eat a chicken on this occasion.. Shows that person who loves manmat will go way too far to defend himself but don't want to change himself. Without any offense.. Some ppl love the Taste of their buds more than sikhi. Boil anything and one will be able to eat it. Can you do that with your meat diet? if you learn khalsa original lifestyle then you will come to know that typical Sikh diet few decades was just simple dal (boiled with no spices). There was typically no tarka done to any dal or sabji. Read health disadvantages over eating meat, smoking, drinking and so on.. don't you agree with that?? Our guru sahib jee never ever wanted rehatvaan sikh to consume something which is not good for the body. Our body belongs to waheguru and we should make it filthy by eating what is simple not good for our body system. Peace out

Sikhs and Tibet history goes way back to Maharaja Ranjit Singh's time (150+ yrs). Sikhs under Maharaja Ranjit Singh's rule had 101% friendship with Nepal and Tibet. Sikhs and Buddhist community are in arms together like brothers as both religion's teaching/foundation are very similar to each other. I believe that the Opinion article by Manpreet is not saying anything against Dalai Lama but instead stating double face of India. He meant to show that Dalai Lama to Sikhs and the world is highly respectable religious figure (freedom fighter for freedom of speech/religion). But at the same time, China (biggest country) is stating Dalai Lama as terrorist figure in China. We all know China is grossly wrong in that. Writer just gave this example and compared that with India. To India, Sikhs who are asking for freedom of religion/speech/justice are terrorist but to US, UK, Canada, Amnesty International and other humanitarian groups we are just like Dalia Lama seeking justice and freedom of basic human rights. Have no doubt.. We stand by with Tibetans in 1800's and we will continue to stand with such nice community and if needed, we will help and be part of their struggle..

Harpreet ji, First of all that is not an ordinary hall we are talking here. This is our historic gurdwara sahib where guru sahib jee visits dozen time in a year. Akhand Kirtani Jatha hold huge annual samagams at this place. This place should be kept neat and clean and away from bad stuff (Drinking/smoking and eating meat). This is not about whether eating meat is right or wrong... BUT this is sure that NO MEAT should be allowed anywhere on Gurughars ground. What is kept in pocket is personal privacy but SMOKED cigarettes butt laying on gurdwara's ground and that too in DOZEN numbers is not allowed.. I don't know what is ur definition of GURSIKH couple but to me it wasn't a Gursikh couple wedding where booze, smoke and meat is freely served... ProudKhalsa.com did showed all evidence to Sarna in a closed door meeting before releasing this to public. They only released it because Sarna shut them out. The above is the enough evidence to shut this DSGMC ! Disgusting !!!
