I just received this from one of my Senators here in Michigan about Cap and Traitor: July 7, 2009 Thank you . . . . . . for contacting me about climate change. I understand your concerns. While I respect your views, I also recognize the growing scientific consensus about climate change. If left unchecked, the effects of climate change include lower water levels in the Great Lakes, threats to fish and wildlife, diminished ability to grow food crops, and an overall threat to our quality of life. That's why we need a balanced, common-sense approach to this problem. As Congress considers climate change legislation, I am working with my colleagues, especially from the Midwest, to ensure that the finished product works for Michigan. If the final legislation does not work for our state, I will not support it. That is why I have been leading efforts in the Senate to create a Clean Energy Development Authority to provide financing for cutting-edge new technologies and create jobs. This financing is absolutely critical so that we do not trade a dependence on foreign oil for a dependence on foreign technology. It's not enough that we simply use green technologies, we have to make them in the United States. A wind turbine is made of over 8,000 individual parts, and all of those parts can be made in Michigan. That's why I'm working to make green manufacturing a central part of our energy strategy. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act included $2 billion for advanced battery research and manufacturing. It also included a new tax credit to promote the manufacture of renewable energy products. I believe that by making the right policy choices and the right investments, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions in a way that revitalizes Michigan's economy and creates new jobs. New energy solutions create new jobs and new industries. We are in the midst of an energy revolution that is creating new opportunities for innovation, investment, and invention. At the same time, we are leaving a cleaner environment for our children, and we are breaking our dangerous addiction to foreign oil. Because of our strong industrial and agricultural sectors, supported by some of the best research universities in the country, Michigan is in a unique position to lead the nation as we transition to a green energy economy. I will continue to fight for a climate change policy that focuses on creating good-paying jobs and strengthening our economy. Thank you again for contacting me. First of all, let's see where we are at next week. A piece ran on the 5 o'clock news in Saginaw tonight. I have had about 4 or 5 calls from lawyers wanting to represent me pro bono. I am not hiring a lawyer just to hire a lawyer right now. I have to take the right approach if I am going to bring those responsible to justice. On a different note, I was wondering now that Sarah Palin just resigned, that maybe I could show her my story and be some sort of spokes person in Michigan for her, maybe that could be a way to get the story out

I am responding to the ton of responses I got. First, late last night, I received a phone call from Fox News. I told them that I am a bit scared at this point to show my face. They were waiting to hear from the judge who let me out yesterday, and trying to figure out if this is in federal hands or local hands. All I know is that I went in front of a Federal judge yesterday in Detroit unannounced, and to my surprise, I was home in the afternoon. I have union thugs following me and my family. Even going to dinner last night was a nightmare. Anyhow, the judge who shoved me into jail illegally without bail is being investigated, but by order of the judge who threw out my charges yesterday. Again, I do not know if this is going to be the U.S. Attorney's office, FBI, or whoever. As far as Ron Gettlefinger is concerned, another person who was targeted for anti-Obama gear testified yesterday that Gettlefinger and this judge who is in question, did have illegal dealings together. So, to answer a response about if I knew for sure if he was involved, I do not know at this point. When I talked to Fox News, I asked if the Judge they use for some programs could be asked of this, they said that they would show him the information on this. I want to get his opinion before I hire a lawyer. I can not trust any lawyer here in Michigan right now. You do not know who is working for the traitor Obama

That is exactly my problem. I happen to live a mile from the AFL-CIO headquarters, and they have thugs following me and my wife around. I wouldn't be surprised if they know I am on these forums now. I asked for Levin's, Stabenows, and Kildees help, but got no response. But you know what? I printed out more signs to put on my back window of my car, and they are up now. One sign says: "And to think, in Kenya, they are missing their idiot." The other says: "Sucka! Drank the Obama Kool-Aid, didn't ya"

I do not know what to say from here on out. I am left with no job, in a state that has the largest unemployment rate in the country. I'm trying to get my degree, but all these court dates, I had to fail a class while I was in jail. I seriously had thoughts of suicide. I'm just trying to figure out what to do now. Liar Alert! On June 18, 2008, I sent a letter demanding explanation why gas prices rose sharply. In a letter dated 6/24/08, Carl Levin responded that this was Bush's administration fault and until Congress was controlled by democrats, there was nothing he could do at that time. Well, guess what? Gas in Michigan today has hit $3.00 a gallon again, and in a letter dated 5/20/09, Carl Levin says "While George W. Bush has been out of office for 5 months now, his policies continue to line his pockets while the consumer has to pay for it." Come on Carl. Grow some, tell the truth for once in your pathetic life!
