I got to listen to Bruce's podcast covering TNA (he did a two-part episode). Apparently the reason they only got Christian out of the deal was because Dixie specifically asked for him. Had Dixie not gotten involved, Bruce may have gotten a bigger name, as the deal was brokered through Bruce and Johnny Ace.

Apparently they're taping only a month's worth this time around. They're doing a set of tapings in June in Canada. Give them time and they'll slowly move away from the Impact Zone again
