The difference is that Verne Gagne didn't kill his wife and his child, and what he did was largely an accident stemming from a shove. He was 83 years old and had an altercation at a nursing home with a 97 year old man. He shoved him and the guy fell, later dying of complications from the injury.

He wasn't a murderer like Chris Benoit, who killed his wife and an autistic child, and bought plane tickets the same weekend with the intent to go and wrestle at a show. I loved Chris Benoit, and I still love the wrestler Chris Benoit. However, whether you're a doctor or not, nobody can say WWE is in the wrong for not putting a spotlight on the guy on their TV shows and merchandise. Whatever the reasons behind his actions, Chris Benoit the man is still a murderer. Please don't put Verne Gagne in that same league.

I loved Benoit and I still enjoy his matches today on YouTube and some DVDs I have, but there's no way WWE can speak about him and celebrate his matches on television and new DVDs, etc. He killed his wife and autistic child, no matter what the circumstances behind that were. Had he just committed suicide it would be different. WWE doesn't pretend he didn't exist, they stated that 2 people won the Royal Rumble from the #1 spot, they didn't say only Michaels had done that. They include him in multi-man matches without removing him, but they can't have too much of a spotlight on him. They're a company, and any other company would do the same thing and distance themselves from someone who committed a double murder. You can't blame WWE at all, and to be honest, it hasn't affected anything that badly. The one thing I miss is seeing him and Eddie's WrestleMania moment, which I think they could include in some things as a celebration of Eddie.

Of course Cena is WWE's biggest draw - he's beaten everybody comprehensively. Nobody else can do the numbers Cena can until they actually get promoted and pushed as Cena has been. John Cena has been built over a number of years, he didn't always draw good ratings. The problem is that nobody else can draw the type of ratings he can because WWE hasn't built anyone else except maybe Orton in that time.

As someone said, they should have had Christian win just to change it up a bit and spice up the Money in the Bank match a bit more, as it would show Christian is a bigger threat to Orton now than in 2011. It doesn't really matter, though. Nothing was on the line and no doubt they had a great match.

I'd like to see them feud again, but with the roles reversed this time. Christian the face and Orton the heel, with Orton chasing the championship. That way, Christian can get a lengthy face run and push, and it can reignite Orton's career. There could be some really good personal issues brought out in storyline. I'd have Orton win the feud still, but not in such a stacked fashion this time.

Those guys didn't get to where they did just because they had looks or were outspoken, no, I agree with you on that. I just think you need a little something else, a little extra spice if you aren't stereotypical WWE Champion material.

Christian doesn't have that unlike the others we've mentioned, and maybe that means he isn't good enough. I don't agree with that assessment though, because I believe if WWE wanted they could stick Christian in a suit, give him an expensive car to come to the ring in every week and his own personal ring announcer, as they did with Del Rio, etc, and the guy would play the role to perfection and get over as the cowardly heel champion. I'm not saying I want them to do that, but my point is the effort they put in to Christian isn't as much as they put in to others. WWE doesn't want to do that.

There's different types of pushes, and they're called a push for a reason. Some guys just have 'it', and get over on their own and nothing can stop them. The Rock just needed a heel turn, Stone Cold just need to be himself, but Christian needs that full fledged push. It's not because he doesn't have charisma, it's not because he can't go in the ring, and it's not because he's unprofessional and getting busted on drugs every month... he can do it all. He just doesn't have the look that Vince McMahon wants to put on his pay-per-view posters, merchandise and send to do marketing and PR work for his company. Edge had that, but Vince doesn't believe Christian does. It's a testament to the guy he's done as well as he has.

I haven't been a fan of the way Ryback's been booked recently, but maybe it will turn out to be a good thing? The less he acts like Goldberg, the better it's going to be for him to shake the comparisons off. Being cowardly, opportunistic and waiting for the right time to strike is good, as long as he can still be a dangerous machine when he does.

Christian has all the charisma in the world, and he's far from being the Marty Jannetty of his team with Edge. Marty Jannetty isn't a triple crown or grand slam champion. He's less successful than Edge as far as titles go, but in my opinion just as good in the ring. His reputation is based on the present and the fact he consistently has great matches no matter who he's against. But even if it was based on stuff he did 5 years ago, that's what a reputation is. Your history in the business.

I heard someone say his feud with Orton and Cena were fair opportunities. He never got a pin on Orton in singles matches in their entire feud. He lost the World title after 2 days (or 5 if you count when Smackdown aired). Against Cena it was a non-starter, because Christian's reactions from the crowd were killing Cena's heat at that time. They were opportunities and the right direction, but they missed the mark slightly.

Christian could easily be the Ric Flair of this generation and headline PPVs. WWE can get anybody over if they want to and turn them into headliners. The problem is Vince doesn't fully believe in Christian because he doesn't have the look of a John Cena. Unfortunately, Christian doesn't have the outspoken nature of a CM Punk either to cause a stir and get himself there, nor the looks and female fan base that Shawn Michaels had.

It says something when Randy Orton has stated Christian is his favourite opponent to wrestle, and Dixie Carter said Christian would be her number one choice if she could have anyone return to her company.

The matches I've seen talked about here are with guys who could have a great match with a broom - Punk and Michaels, so I don't think it's me who needs the baseline. Cena really isn't that good in the ring. Does that mean he hasn't had some good matches in the past? No. I remember him vs. Umaga in an I Quit match at the Rumble and it was good. Chemistry does play a big part, as does being in there with someone who can carry you, but there's no way I want to see him against Del Rio again. What did it accomplish? If there was a second match, I doubt it would be any better than the first match, which wasn't a classic itself by any means. It wasn't terrible, but it doesn't deserve another night of hyping a Champion vs. Champion match. If it would have been good, I'd be interested in seeing it again, as I said above. As it is, I'm not. There's plenty of other matches I'd be more interested in seeing as the main event next week, and plenty of other things I'd rather Cena be doing to further storylines next week.

The last year of Nitro had some great matches, by the way - the Cruiserweight Tag Team title tournament, Booker T vs. Steiner, etc. The booking was terrible, but in amongst all that mess, there was some good talent.

The 6-man match makes Christian and Ambrose 1-1 right now. That's better for a US title feud than Christian beating Rollins or Rollins beating Christian. It's finely poised and makes for a feeling that either man can beat the other.
