Of course their concerns are legitimate. At the current rate of spending, how long will it be before hyper- inflation renders our currency virtually worthless? Not to mention we are taking on a level of debt that seems almost an impossibility to ever pay off.

I do believe President Obama should consult with these Governors, and get agreement on Guard deployment. Any Governor resisting it may as well put a gun to his/her head if they are that out of touch with American/ Their constituent's concerns.

Agreed. Rush is an egotistical pompous ass who puts his own "hurt feelings" above party, or more importantly country. I am not a liberal by any means, but the Limbaugh/ Coulter orthodoxy is as anti-American as moonbat.org, daily kooks etc.. Nothing profited from my way or the highway.

While I have no problem in principle with the idea of Governors choosing use it instead of lose it to other states, it really matters to me if they are using money to fix a problem, or if they are committing their states to taking on programs funded once by the Feds, and leaving the state's taxpayers holding the bags for years to come on permanent programs, or worse committing US taxpayers to permanent nanny state funding.

No, gun control is not the problem unless you have shaky hands. No matter how they try to interpet it, the 2nd amendment is about having the ability to protect ourselves from becoming slavish subjects forced to abide by tyrannical rule. On a simpler note for the mentally challenged : Do you believe that criminals care about gun control laws?? If somebody breaks in your house, and wants to rape, loot, or murder, are you confident that you can call a timeout while you call 911 and wait for help?
