I didn't know that about Tolstoy, Mark! I did notice the other day while at a party, someone began speaking in what felt to me to be a very intellectual way (it had been a while since I'd been to an event of this type) and my body immediately had a reaction to the words. I felt a distinct disconnect, which was disturbing. What I finally realize is that I went into my head, while listening and the disconnect was with my own body! So many opportunities to become more awake--for the listener and reader as well as the speaker or writer!

I loved your question, "How would the real me handle this?" on Jeanne Male's great post:http://bit.ly/9U3jfk I've been "freewriting" since the 80's when I reread a letter to a close friend who was having a difficult time and realized that what I had written to her did not come from my intellect! There continues to be so much more I can learn from this process. I am going to do what you suggest next-can't wait to see what is revealed. Hi Kerrie, I think it's often so much easier to take action than to wait. Or to wait when it's really time to take action! Listening with one's whole being and following the guidance that emerges can often be very challenging. Hi Nancy, Your questions always stimulate my mind and cause me to look at something I hadn't explored before! I attended Gregg Braden's "God Code" workshop some years ago, and never connected those particular dots. Thanks to you for calling my attention to the similarity in both the message and the vibration in those sounds! I am rather astounded because it's now so obvious. You've really made my day! As to your other question, I am in agreement that everything contains the vibration of Source. This question came up for me a while ago (in a slightly different context), when I asked the Ancestors about the language they transmit through me. What I understood from them was that they and the language vibrate at a frequency closer to Source Energy, and that what the sounds mean is also what they do, i.e., awaken cellular memory of the Light and Love that is our Essential Nature. I see we share a similar background, Jeanne. In High School we had periodic retreats, enforced times of reflection, which I appreciate much more now in retrospect! I am also grateful for being taught to reflect at an early age. I'm so happy you are realizing your intentions in both more direct service to others and in your most recent contribution to leaders. Teaching empathic ethics is so necessary and important for all types of leadership. Hope you will blog about both your teaching and your experiences. I think many of us have or had a similar expectation about "Spiritual Teachers", Nancy. Great example of letting go of emotion that hurts the one who holds it. I read this today by Don Miguel Ruiz, " Forgiveness is for your own healing. You forgive because you feel compassion for yourself. Forgiveness is an act of self-love." Letting go of justified anger, blame and so forth is one of bigger challenges and one needs sufficient self-love to be able to do it, which is a good thing to remember when tempted to hold on to those feelings! I love questions and often use them to help surface something that I haven't been able to access. I really appreciated the questions you wrote in your last blog-- must remember the power of questions for future posts! My favorite morning practice is to ask a question, empty my mind and listen for the answer. I can spend entire mornings doing this. We all have access to an Infinite Mind that is exceedingly generous and unlimited in answers! Your blog posts were the first I read before I had this page and started writing my own, and you continue to be a source of inspiration! With Love and Gratitude, Kathleen

Hi Patti, Thank you so much for your in depth reply! Using different words you say what I heard many years ago from Tom Kenyon, that intention determines the effect of the sound. As you mention it is so important for all of us to be aware of our "labels" and beliefs. No matter what my preferences may be, whatever I am inspired to play or sound in the moment is what happens--here's no right or best way, as all thought dissolves. What I do notice is that there is a lovely balance for participants when they can both give and receive sound, and I enjoy offering that opportunity both in private sessions and in groups. Dear Anita, You bring up something that I also experience and have not written about, i.e., the connection between Spirit Guides and ancestors. I am interested in your further discoveries! As much as I understand at this time, some of my guides are ancestors through the current lineage I have; others are in my lineage from other lives (a tad complex since all lives are also NOW) and others have never been in body-at least here. The other day I translated a message into intellectual thought, that went something like "Even if you 'thought' you understood this intellectually you would not." The continuous message I receive is that truth cannot be held in words but only hinted-still I appreciate any further hints- should you receive them! In the meantime, I feel their powerful and loving Presence, as you do, and continue to be very grateful for all they do through and for us! Much Love, Kathleen

Dear Nenari, I read something yesterday that was said by a very wise four year old boy and thought of you and what you have written: " Love means you can never be apart." As they say, "out of the mouths of babes!" It took me quite a while to cease missing my beloved grandmother, Kathleen, and one day I was aware that she was always with me, where she had been all along-in my heart. My heart had to first feel the grief and when the grief was lifted then I could feel her presence. I felt the longing for her physical presence, as you mention, for a long while. I was very young then, but I also believe that no matter what one's age there is a period of physical loss that is felt and is part of being human. Time can be a great healer and teacher.
