And for those of you more north, there is one in Canton, NY, from 11-2, at the corner of Park and Main. This one has not been publicized as much, it was a late bloomer. This town is about one hour north of Watertown, 1/2 hour south of Massena.

Let me just say that a few days after this site was established, we had about 50K-odd people. Some dude came on and commented how lame it was, it didn't seem to be growing at all. It's now at around 450K. Face!

1. Term Limits--1-4 yr term for Sentors, 2-2 yr terms for Reps.
2. Law which would prevent a party in power from changing law-making rules, i.e. excluding the minority party at whim.
3. Scrap McCain Feingold and start over. Need reform which would prevent a George Soros from buying the presidency. Put teeth in the contribution limits. (Obama got away with murder w/ no investigation).
4. Some mechanism for defanging activist judges.
5. Public comment period of 2 weeks before House votes on a bill, then 2 weeks before the Senate votes, then another 2 weeks before Prez signs. Total of 6 weeks to read, study, and voice opinion. Entire bill posted online before the clock begins. Changes to bill at each stage summarized and put on PAGE ONE. No sneaking in things at midnight! Exceptions might include an overt act of war.

Immigrant's Wife, you are not crazy. What upsets me is how QUIETLY this was done. All of a sudden, it was a done deal, and I had to go look how my rep voted. Then, all of a sudden, the Sentate votes for cloture. I had to do all my angry letter writing after-the-fact! What happened to all that waiting period and transparency promised? This entire government is dangerous.

RE: That awful GIVE act, discussed above. That House vote was done SO QUIETLY! I found out my worthless rep (McHugh, NY-R) voted for it; so I sent him an angry email and told him to stop being such a RINO, and that he's not in Washington to be an Obamabot. Then I sent one to Gillebrand and let her have it too. Schumer probably blocks my emails by now, it's futile writing him.

nhagman, I agree. They are doing all this kneejerk action, in huge amounts, without taking into account the law of unintended consequences. (Of course they never do). I knew they would overreach, because they are pure hubris at their very core.
Rasmussen shows the lines crossing in the generic D vs. R poll they do every week. R now ahead, at 41% vs. 39% D. First time in years. We can undo it. I'm with you, FEAR not, but unite and act now.
