As this is merely a single blog post, I don't see that atheist homeschoolers are a main topic on your blog, but I have chosen to post a bit anyway.
Your two major points "against" are social development and academic equivalence. Of course, if I thought that this were true about my children, I would cease to homeschool. It is NOT true, however, so we continue on with our endeavors.
My kids are interesting, bright, friendly, and perfectly normal.
Anecdotal?
Perhaps, but our friends all seem to be "normal" too...

I must ask because, as a homeschooling family, we are involved with many other homeshooling families who are producing AMAZINGLY productive and bright children who go on to become amazingly productive adults.
Therefore, I disagree.

As a homeschooler who is also an atheist, I can promise you that this is not the case with SO many families. I think your "indoctrination" point can be made by people of a variety of faiths, regardless of how they choose to educate their children.
On the other hand, while I don't personally know any, I know that there are homeschooling families out there who homeschool primarily for the religious card...
If someone chooses to be this religious, you can't change that.
Demonizing an entire community of people, homeschoolers in this case, for those fanatics who are a part of if is unfair and misleading.
