01. Full name - Doctor Antonio Victor Hubris 02. Best friend - Sadly, Doyle his lab assistant/test subject, though he's been known to go over to Fodd's house (from Indifferently Evil) and get very drunk while arguing about quantum theory. 03. Sexuality - Officially hetero, although there's a lot of things he's probably willing to do "in the name of Science". 04. Favorite color - Green. Glowing, if he can get it. 05. Relationship status - Married once, for a few hours, as a tax dodge. Since then single. 06. Ideal mate - Someone as smart as he is, and also willing/able to look the other way on certain minor ethics violations. 07. Odd Skills/Skills in general - Doctor Hubris is MADE of odd skills, so this one's a little hard to answer. 08. Last Amusing Escapade - Off-screen, worked for about two weeks at Aperature Science on an experimental fuel line de-icer. 09. Favorite food - Crab Rangoon 10. Crushes - Currently holding a slightly unhealthy obsession with Dr. Ardra Renelsior, despite the fact that he's a) in a different webcomic, and b) is perma-banned from the state of Indiana.

I dunno... occasionally they'll have one that's really funny by itself... Piñata Island was about a blood-sucking demon piñata attacking an island full of drunk college students... and it had Harry Kim from Voyager as an extra and starred Xander from Buffy.... the real one, not his twin brother. I think it was the real one, anyway. That one was sorta watchable. Or the one with Bruce Campbell and the blond one from Xena as astronauts that came back from a deep space mission to discover that giant alien termites had taken over Earth. No, I'm not kidding.

The problem with that is if I removed the 24 hour comic, there'd be a month-long gap in the archive. And it is canon. Mostly, anyway. I wasn't sure if I was leaving it as canon, but the Hubris/Ardra crossover comic featured Jenny too, so it's more-or-less in there for good now.

A couple of important notes... this was actually originally about Lie to Me, which I absolutely love and which (hopefully) they won't cancel because it's basically another House... and who doesn't need more House? I know I do. The basic premise of the original comic was the same, that (Good Show) + (FOX Network) = (Probable Huge Disappointment) and that Steve doesn't know this because the last two shows he remembers premiering on FOX were X-Files (which did fantastic) and The Adventures of Brisco Co. Junior, which at least managed to finish out an entire season before Bruce Campbell wandered off. While writing this with the original concept, I looked up Brisco Co just to make sure it was something Steve could even have seen before slipping into his coma in 1993... and I read about the infamous FOX "Friday Night Death Slot", where they put a show that is certain to (or that they want to) die a horrible death. Then I looked at the current schedule... and *boom*. That's why the 5th panel is just wall-o-text... there just wasn't room for it in the picture. If you look carefully, you can still see the stunned Art drawing I did underneath the text left over from comic version 1.0.

This is kind of my answer to the old Gilligan's Island legend... the one where each of the characters on the island represent one of the Deadly Sins (Professor - Pride, Ginger - Lust, MaryAnne - Envy, Mr. Howell - Greed, Mrs. Howell - Sloth) The problem with this is that, despite there being 7 principal cast members, The Skipper covers both Anger and Sloth, whereas none of these sins really apply to Gilligan himself... so that means, to a number of people, that Gilligan himself may be the Devil (he does wear a red shirt), after all. If you think about the number of times they *nearly* escape the island, just to have defeat snatched from the jaws of victory by Gilligan on "accident", there is a certain correlation.

Much appreciated. I hate to be too harsh on Bush, which is why I went the "Yay Obama" route instead of the "Goodbye Bush" route. I do feel that Dubya was handed an unfair deck... in the beginning, anyway. But say what he may want about his legacy bearing out, I don't think there's ever been a new president coming into office that's been celebrated - actually celebrated - the way Obama is being.
