Big Government : Is Mitt Romney a Closet Keynesian?

This is why I am more counting on a collapse than anything. Sometimes, people need to learn things the hard way. Cant say Americans have not been digging their own grave.

Preposterous. Ron Paul is the reason Keynesianism is even part of the vocabulary these days, as he was the only one who was bringing it up and vilifying it. To call him a Keynesian, and your willingness to bring up his name to make ridiculous smears just to drag him through the mud is pathetic.

Big Government : The Laffer Curve Works, Even in France

"But having said that, an ever expanding government is sustainable if it remains at a consistent share of GDP" Big 'if'. Also, a growing government becomes ever more veracious for more dollars and influence, which leads to demagogues calling for more money and control and slowly eats away at the productive sector. Its already happened and we see the results. 0% federal income tax. Beats the hell out of any production that would come from the Laffer Curve, and keeps the politicians, lobbyists and power centers at bay.

The Laffer curve is wool over conservatives eyes: It's purpose it to collect MAXIMUM REVENUE, which promotes consistently large government. The money flow doesn't stop. More money is still transferred from taxpayers to the State. The purpose is to cut taxes AND spending, moreso spending. The Laffer curve promotes a continuation of the same government spending we are supposed to reject. It promotes the idea that the Federal Government deserves your money, and has a right to take your income. More like the Laugher Curve.

Big Government : EXCLUSIVE--Iranian Freedom Fighter: 'Ron Paul's Foreign Policy Toward the Islamic Republic is Wrong'

And how about Paul's stance on Cuba?: "Paul is exactly right, and I say that as someone who has studied Latin-American communism in both Cuba and Nicaragua. The reason the Sandinista Marxists could not maintain their hold during the 1980s is precisely because they couldn’t keep foreigners out – or their own people in. Anyone who drove from Nicaragua to Costa Rica in those days, as I did in 1987, would witness on one side of the border a military state rivaling East Germany’s with shortages of every conceivable consumer item. On the other side was a peaceful, prosperous state with stores overflowing with consumer goods." http://blog.nj.com/njv_paul_mulshine/2012/01/ron_... The solution for peace is trade, not sanctions and war.

How did sanctions work in Iraq and overthrowing the regime there before we went in and took out Saddam? Oh, thats right, they didn't. Also, Paul is not just talking about the US in a literal sense when he says 'we', he is also speaking of Europe and the EU, UN as well. 'We' is the West.
