One other thing to mention, it is not around 500 congresspeople that I am talking about driving this policy. It could be a much smaller number. Like 10. The Fed Chairman, the Treasury Secretary, the President, The Speaker, the Senate majority leader, and a few of the worlds biggest bankers and hedge fund managers. Maybe a couple of big CEO's. So perhaps 20 people could set this in motion.

You make a very valid point. One that I have literally lost sleep over. That is one reason I do not post as often as I used to. I had to have some balance in my life. But you are right, we really are only about two weeks from the zombie apocolypse at any given moment. Our society is very fragile. When the money runs out...there will be zombies... the food will be gone in three to four days at all the stores and then those in the city will begin to spread out down the highways. I can forsee city cops and national guardsmen, regular folks too blockading the exits to their towns...it is bad.

I was raised in a church where baptism was a full dunk. What If i wanted the government to define baptism this way? Sprinkling would be illegal. I have family who believe you have to be baptized in running water. So baptism in a big tub could be made illegal. How about defining what constitutes a preacher? Maybe they should have to have a theology degree? Or perhaps they should have to go to certain schools? If we let them begin to define aspects of what amounts to a religious rite then it will not be long until they begin to define other aspects of church. This is NOT about recognizing marriage as a common good. Who believes marriage is not a good thing? I understand the desire to uphold marriage, but you have to see that if YOU allow the government to tell someone they have to do something you want. Basically I do not want government defining ANY part of my worship or any part of what it means to be religion.

Marriage is not a religion, I agree. It is a component of (all) religion(s). Marriage was not created by government. It was created by (God) or at least the worlds religions. Every different religion has their own religious ceremony. But I guarantee you that no one in the bible petitioned the egyptians or the romans in order to marry their spouse. If you do not believe in a deity then there is really no reason to marry. If we allow the government to define marriage what else would you be ok with them defining?

I dont think you do the libertarian, the constitutionalist, the republican or the conservative cause any favors by throwing stones, even ones that are somewhat deserved over small potatoes. Now if she had said something truly inflammatory, such as she was for giving a senate seat to Washington DC, or I don't know...in favor of a constitutional defense of marriage act (She is)...then we throw stones. You are giving ammo and talking points to the kool aid lovers that will be voting agains the one party and the one candidate that we can ALL agree we do not want and will not be in the interests of Liberty no matter if you are a non-interventionist, an isolationist, or for a strong pro-active foreign policy. ANY of the caindidates in opposition to the liberal party would be an improvement. That is why I, and so many others, held my nose and voted McCain last time. I didnt believe in him, but it was the only choice I had. And we can argue third, fourth, or fifth party all day, they are not going to win an election. Ever. We are all allies in Liberty.

That TOOL was the one grunting? That was making me want to choke someone. I couldnt figure out what production assistant left a microphone turned on in the bathroom. Yes, it probably is a burning question in many peoples minds: Dancing with the Stars or American Idol - as for me I dont give a flying rat's ass. I am a Bachmann fan, but then again I always have been. I just dont like any of their answers (except Ron Pauls) on government's role in marriage.
