KABOBfest : Same Khara, Different Administration

<<Unfortunately, this gives the false impression that the US President could snap his fingers and stop Israel in its tracks, when the reality is that the President has limited power to change policy>> I agree with you on this point: the President can't just snap his finger and instantly change the course of things or magically make things better. But to say that the President has limited power to change policy? Every president has had a set Foreign Policy agenda or has mapped one as time went on. When they pushed long and hard enough, they saw the fulfilment of their drafted foriegn policy plan of attack and have reached their ultimate goals. At the same time, I think Mr. Obama is a in tight squeeze, with just 10 months as President and a economy in shambles. He can't just piss off those with the money and he can't shoot himself in the foot politically. Obama is a smart individual, but when it comes to playing the deadly game of high-stake politics, he's a rookie with no real clue as to how he's going to proceed. Netanyahu on the other hand, knows exactly what he's doing and how he's going to play his cards.

PC: I had no hand in erasing your comments. If it was erased (since you're saying it was) it was probably super offensive and derogatory in some way and pulled by the administration. Let's stick to the topic at hand and come to debate.

KABOBfest : A "Community" of Misrepresentation

SoCal is FULL of Arabs!!! Re-connecting with some old friends from High School, I was surprised how many of them were Arabs and I had no clue! Someone once told me that Southern California (mainly Los Angeles and Orange counties) actually have the highest amounts of Arabs in the U.S. whereas Michigan has the highest concentration of Arabs(two separate things). It's funny that real Arabs wouldn't be contacted or sought to play themselves, given the demographics you know? Maybe this show and the couple that have preceeded (where Arabs aren't extremists of some sort) will eventually open the doors to such actually taking place.

KABOBfest : Israel reduces Palestinian water supply to a trickle

I heard they also put a siege on spices entering Gaza . . . no Za'atar for some folks and that's the real shame! Seriously though, what is this "siege" coming to? May 1993's edition of National Geographic is particularly good at highlighting Water Resources of the Middle East (goes into pretty comprehensive details about the Sea of Galilee, Israeli pools, Palestinian wells and the aquifers in Palestine) I've been thinking about the next war to errupt in the region. I'm convinced it's going to be a Water War . . . it's going to be to the death :-(

Divide and Conquer . . . worked well for the French and the British, probably why Israel used the strategy when they helped to create Hamas in the late 80's to divide Fatah. Programmer Craig and his sidekick Eagle-whatever-his-name-is, will probably come out and pull some irrelevant articles and videos with some ignorant (and sometimes stupid) comments about how Hamas is really an off-shoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. The informed people of this world however, know the preaching of such notions is the pure distortion of facts and truths that the racist and suppressive Zionist machine tries to disseminate and spread through their wide campaign of ball busting and intimidation. Thanks for this post 'Tizer. Been a while since we see some actual political analysis "on the ground."

I think you bring up a very valid point Khalid: what's the next step? For starters, I'm of the opinion that the Palestinians themselves must demand change and accountability from their leaders (Fatah or Hamas). Until the people do that, nothing's gonna happen. They'll remain angry, frustrated, colluding and dealing with the Israelis indirectly. How many Palestinians do you see and hear EN MASSES protesting their leaders and their policies? How many Palestinians did we see demonstrating and protesting Fatah at their recent conference? NONE! At least Israelis get out and speak out against their government and its policies. If the Palestinians don't do it, other Arabs and the world aren't going to do damn thing! The question I have and maybe you could help me is why the Palestinians don't come out and speak out EN MASSE against Fatah or Hamas? Why don't they march in the streets? F**K self-criticism, taboos and intimidation. Then again, maybe these are what keep them from actually protesting.

Every time I walked by the Watergate, I would always take a moment in front of the Benito Juarez monument to read the words of the plaque which says: "Respect for the Rights of others is Peace." I think everyone, no matter where they're from or what language they speak, can understand the concepts of justice and peace. Until the criminal Zionists give the Palestinians their full equal rights as full and equal human beings, they will never have peace. One day, I'd like to see the Palestinians get up and say: "We've had enough of this and we're not going to take it anymore!" But with brown nosers and political prostitutes like Abbas and Fayyad, the cause is effed!

I mean, I don't think people talking and a video are too far from the reality. It's not like they're just making this stuff up, you know? You're nothing but a YouTube Terrorist (inciting fear in people's hearts) and the real Bigot of this conversation (hating on Muslims) You're nothing but a waste of writing time in addition to being a Strawweight debater who can't hang with the real Heavyweight debaters. Face it, you have no strong defense or case to make or prove. Seriously though, address the debating points AJ. That is, of course, if you're man enough or smart enough to actually do so. You know your facts??? Prove it! We're all waiting . . .

To quote your oh so "informative" documentary: "The world we live in is not the world in which our children and grandchildren will live in" Yeah, just like the world we live in is not the world our grandparents lived in! Any idiot can tell you that. Times change and people change. Your video is just propaganda to stir people against Muslims and as a Christian, I denounce your hate and your fear tactics towards innocent people. You're nothing but a fearmongering, right-wing, pro-Zionist zealot who would probably be a Crusader if this was 1,000 years ago.

I'm not the one preaching fear and hatred of Muslims and stripping away of the citizenship to people who dosagree with you. You've fallen victim to the mentality that says America shouldn't be a land of Liberty and Justice anymore. That's the Beauty of America: everyone is free to do and say and believe whatever you want . . . well, not anymore thanks to "Dubyah" and his right-wing freedom striping crew. Let's start with the facts: 1st of all, you fail to show me how Israel offered Arafat EVERYTHING, 2nd of all, you say that Palestinians "Do not like Jews" (You honestly expect them to? Can you blame them for holding such hatred towards the people who stole their land, kicked them out of their homes, killed their children and have denyed them their God-given rights to live and to EXIST?) 3rd, you make heinous arguments, showing videos that induce fear and terror into the hearts of people and are probably made by the Geert Wilders production company and lastly, you think that what the US did to innocent Japanese-Americans was right.

Oh, and about Ann Coutler? A friend of mine who had dinner with a very close writer friend of Ann's told me that Ann Coulter really doesn't believe most of what she writes in her books, that she only writes it because she knows it's what people wanted after 9/11(and judging from your comments) still want in 2009. Ann Coulter writes what she knows will bring her money and will incite more Anti-Islamic hatred in today's world, not because she's convinced of its nature or because she really hates Muslims, but in order to profit from the Anti-Islamic sentiments prevalent in today's society. Sad to know that people buy into that bigoted and hateful garbage in order to get some sort of emotional stimulant to back up their extremist outlooks on today's main issues.

True, Israel has a right to exist! They're human beings, they have every right to live, to laugh, to love, to believe, to set their own destinies, to have peace. But not in Palestine, which is stolen land that they have taken over and settled in an illegal manner. Why not Europe? Why Palestine? You honestly believe that the Palestinians are to blame for 1948? How do you reason the fact that Palestinians are responsible for being illegally kicked out of their homes at gun point, that Palestinians are responsible for being displacement, that Palestinians are responsible for not being able to come back to their homes and their lands. Just doesn't add up. And what? They should just move on? Where? Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia are not their homes. Palestine is their home. Funny, I just noticed your name initials. I think instead of "Anti Jihad" I'm going to dub you "Andrew Jackson." Your words are so reminiscent of that ethnic cleansing racist, you have no idea. It's like saying that the Native Americans (the American Indians) were responsible for being killed and murdered, for being kicked off their lands and for crying about it in the end because they have "screwed themselves over." By the way, Israel never offered Arafat EVERYTHING . . . that's what you think. Learn the facts then come back and debate.

You're an Arab? Okay . . . that's nice But when you have a sec Albert, could you please explain where the racism towards Obama is apparent, 'cause I don't see it. I just don't see how the title, which says that Obama is "Morally Repugnant" in his criticism (which is the only time Obama's name is mentioned in the entire article apart from the phrase "Obama Administration" in the 1st paragraph) is any indicator of Yaman or anyone else's racism towards Obama. The article's more of a criticism of the administration's outlook on Operation Cast Lead and how the definite bias of this US administration is no different than past administrations. I just want to hear your case for why you think we're being racist towards Obama . . . that's all

Thanks for the comments Glenn.

Yeah, a good bit of reading of Soviet but particularly, Georgian-Abkhaz history can tell anyone what actually happened. I mean, here you have a man (Stalin) who would come to Abkhazia every year with his troops and guards and they would spend their summers there, because as my old college roommate showed me and his father told me, Abkhazia is amazingly GORGEOUS all year round, but especially in the summer. I mean, it was one of THE main tourist spots of the Soviet era.

Can you blame Stalin for wanting such a beautiful piece of land to be a part of his country? As my friend would tell me: "Abkhazia is one the most beautiful places ever created by God on the face of this earth" I mean, he is Abkhaz, but he's not kidding when he says it's just beautiful with its snow covered mountains, clean and sparkling beaches and brilliant weather.

I would love to go to Abkhazia in a few years to see for myself and maybe dance to the accordian :-)

It doesn't matter, because you know what? I'm glad to go through the harrasment. When they speak to me in broken ass English and I speak unaccented English to them, it just shows the servants that hey, the American Boss is here. I just smiled and laughed off their searc. It's especially great when they try to practice their "Arabic" with you and then they realize your native language is Spanish. It shows them how wrong they can be in their racial assessments. PC, here's a tip, if ever you get asked to step off to the side or you get detained: Flirt with the guards and soldiers and they'll let you go much faster. Talk a little dirty talk and throw out some compliments on their looks, their clothes, their jewelry ANYTHING. The girls are such sukers for the compliments and they eat that shit up like cupcakes, smiling and blushing as you tell them that you love their Star of David necklace and their curly hair. Just goes to show you that in addition to being racist, Israel is also a sex-crazed nation whose guards and soldiers are sex deprived.
