But to say that the President has limited power to change policy? Every president has had a set Foreign Policy agenda or has mapped one as time went on. When they pushed long and hard enough, they saw the fulfilment of their drafted foriegn policy plan of attack and have reached their ultimate goals. At the same time, I think Mr. Obama is a in tight squeeze, with just 10 months as President and a economy in shambles. He can't just piss off those with the money and he can't shoot himself in the foot politically. Obama is a smart individual, but when it comes to playing the deadly game of high-stake politics, he's a rookie with no real clue as to how he's going to proceed. Netanyahu on the other hand, knows exactly what he's doing and how he's going to play his cards.

SoCal is FULL of Arabs!!! Re-connecting with some old friends from High School, I was surprised how many of them were Arabs and I had no clue! Someone once told me that Southern California (mainly Los Angeles and Orange counties) actually have the highest amounts of Arabs in the U.S. whereas Michigan has the highest concentration of Arabs(two separate things). It's funny that real Arabs wouldn't be contacted or sought to play themselves, given the demographics you know? Maybe this show and the couple that have preceeded (where Arabs aren't extremists of some sort) will eventually open the doors to such actually taking place.

May 1993's edition of National Geographic is particularly good at highlighting Water Resources of the Middle East (goes into pretty comprehensive details about the Sea of Galilee, Israeli pools, Palestinian wells and the aquifers in Palestine) I've been thinking about the next war to errupt in the region. I think you bring up a very valid point Khalid: what's the next step? For starters, I'm of the opinion that the Palestinians themselves must demand change and accountability from their leaders (Fatah or Hamas). Until the people do that, nothing's gonna happen. They'll remain angry, frustrated, colluding and dealing with the Israelis indirectly. How many Palestinians do you see and hear EN MASSES protesting their leaders and their policies? How many Palestinians did we see demonstrating and protesting Fatah at their recent conference? NONE! At least Israelis get out and speak out against their government and its policies. If the Palestinians don't do it, other Arabs and the world aren't going to do damn thing! The question I have and maybe you could help me is why the Palestinians don't come out and speak out EN MASSE against Fatah or Hamas? Why don't they march in the streets? F**K self-criticism, taboos and intimidation. Then again, maybe these are what keep them from actually protesting.

Every time I walked by the Watergate, I would always take a moment in front of the Benito Juarez monument to read the words of the plaque which says: "Respect for the Rights of others is Peace." I think everyone, no matter where they're from or what language they speak, can understand the concepts of justice and peace. Until the criminal Zionists give the Palestinians their full equal rights as full and equal human beings, they will never have peace. A friend of mine who had dinner with a very close writer friend of Ann's told me that Ann Coulter really doesn't believe most of what she writes in her books, that she only writes it because she knows it's what people wanted after 9/11(and judging from your comments) still want in 2009. Ann Coulter writes what she knows will bring her money and will incite more Anti-Islamic hatred in today's world, not because she's convinced of its nature or because she really hates Muslims, but in order to profit from the Anti-Islamic sentiments prevalent in today's society. Yeah, a good bit of reading of Soviet but particularly, Georgian-Abkhaz history can tell anyone what actually happened. I mean, here you have a man (Stalin) who would come to Abkhazia every year with his troops and guards and they would spend their summers there, because as my old college roommate showed me and his father told me, Abkhazia is amazingly GORGEOUS all year round, but especially in the summer. I mean, it was one of THE main tourist spots of the Soviet era.

Can you blame Stalin for wanting such a beautiful piece of land to be a part of his country? As my friend would tell me: "Abkhazia is one the most beautiful places ever created by God on the face of this earth" I mean, he is Abkhaz, but he's not kidding when he says it's just beautiful with its snow covered mountains, clean and sparkling beaches and brilliant weather.

I would love to go to Abkhazia in a few years to see for myself and maybe dance to the accordian :-)

When they speak to me in broken ass English and I speak unaccented English to them, it just shows the servants that hey, the American Boss is here. I just smiled and laughed off their searc. It's especially great when they try to practice their "Arabic" with you and then they realize your native language is Spanish. It shows them how wrong they can be in their racial assessments. PC, here's a tip, if ever you get asked to step off to the side or you get detained: Flirt with the guards and soldiers and they'll let you go much faster. Talk a little dirty talk and throw out some compliments on their looks, their clothes, their jewelry ANYTHING. The girls are such sukers for the compliments and they eat that shit up like cupcakes, smiling and blushing as you tell them that you love their Star of David necklace and their curly hair. Just goes to show you that in addition to being racist, Israel is also a sex-crazed nation whose guards and soldiers are sex deprived.
