The Tea Party philosophy is to abide by the Constitution, in which one of the only duties the federal government has is to raise, maintain, and pay for a standing defense force, which by all rights means to care for those they send to war. Either way, current government policies towards vets is misguided and morally defunct, on both sides, including the recent decision not to hear the VVA suit by the SCOTUS. The DAV is part of the problem, as they say no to privatizing healthcare for vets, while maintaining an obviously poor healthcare system which is killing vets. More money, more power, more idiotic mismanagement is not the answer when the DVA cannot even admit they infected hundreds through negligence. The DAV has long outlived their usefulness and should be de-chartered. The only answer is to prosecute and hold accountable those officials denying legitimate veterans claims.
