Thank you all...Independent is looking like the place to be...I especially like the idea of making the candidates unsure who to try to win over...so maybe the TRUTH will emerge instead.

We have the Constitution Party here in Oregon...at least it's on the registration cards.

Who here has changed their party affiliation since joining the 912Project? I am a registered Republican but I no longer feel represented by the party.

I agree with you Lach. I have read all the replies and the bottom line as to why religion should be left out of the political debate is this: If a person believes whole-heartedly in their religion then they believe their God is the only true God. That means that anyone with opposing religious beliefs are wrong and their opinions are devalued. More blood has been shed in the name of God than for any other reason in history.

With that being said I would ask Looking4Sanity this question: What if the preachers at the Tea Party had been a Muslim or a Jew, would you still be ok with them holding the prayer sessions?
