Hi SD - did an 8 pointer to get the "ideal" forward line of Drogba, Rooney and Torres and had the smile wiped well and truly off my face. 29 points (-2 for Dunne and the 8 point hit) gives me 19 pts with Torres (c), Dunn and Carragher to go. Hoping for some bps for Bale, Distin, Huth, Fabs....but I'm not optimistic.

Ah well - will need Torres (c), Dunn and Carragher to thrive tomorrow to salvage some respect from this gamesweek after smugly assembling my front-line of Drogba/Rooney/Torres this morning for an 8 point hit. Must have been at least 250-1 for Villa to lose 7-1 today - congratulations to those who had Lamps as captain - he who dares eh? Drogs's absence was instrumental but he did have 3 penalties as well.

Thank god I had a 120 point lead in my mini-league going into today, but my rivals haven;t fared much better. One of them will be in single figures with only 4 to play including Torres and Tevez (c).

How is everybody else doing?

Rooney missing from the squad confirmed - Drogba on bench and Dunne will come in for -1 points and now no Rooney. At the moment I have been justified taking out Milner and Bendtner, but I need cleansheets and a few bonus points to keep my head above water this week after an 8 point hit. What a bloody nightmare...and both Ancelotti and Fergie had the bloody nerve to fire optimistic injury news about Drogba and Rooney!!

Can't believe Vila have conceded 6 today!! Rant over..

Message to Ancelotti: Either get Drogs to get 1 or two goals or keep him off the pitch for the 90 minutes so that Dunne can get a cleansheet and 3 bonus points as my first and only sub!

Good luck everybody - seems Tevez was a popular transfer in this week. Took an 8 pointer and kept faith in Rooney and Drogs, but brought in Torres for Bendtner.

I'm resigned to 3 transfers:

Bendtner > Torres
Milner > Dunn
Ivanovic > £4.7m or less defender??

Any ideas for that defender?

The injuries are a good reason for getting Torres in. I will still have Dunne, N'Zogbia and O'Hara on the bench!! I need a defender for £4.7m or less to play in a 4-3-3. Any ideas?
