I think you're missing the point made my LKS. You're implying that his friends were with him drinking, or knew he was drinking. I work at a grocery store, and many of the store brand items come in national brand boxes that have been flipped inside out to hide the fact that they are actually from the national brand processing plants. A few examples that come to mind: Store brand syrup coming in an Aunt Jemima box flipped inside out. Store brand fire logs coming in a Duraflame box flipped inside out. Store brand pickles coming in Nalley's box. The list goes on and on... Almost all store brand spices come from McCormick. Some spice racks that are built into the shelves, have the name and pictures for each spice attached to the rack, if you flip down the picture, there is a re-order phone number on the back of the picture. If you call that phone number to reorder store brand spices, guess what... it goes to McCormick.

I work for Albertsons, and I am very familiar with our contract. The pay starts at $8.60/hr for newly hired employees, the journeyman rate is $18.70/hr, and takes 4 years to obtain if you're working 40 hours a week EVERY week, which is very rare (even for those who want 40 hours). People that have been working for these grocery stores for 20-30+ years make $18.70 an hour. There are a few people per store that make "Senior Journeyman" rate, which is $18.95/hr. That is the absolute highest pay rate for workers in UFCW 21.
