well after what obama has done to the economy I can't blame them for not being able to find a job which is pretty much the purpose of socialism to begin with: make everyone dependent on the government to live their lives, make almost 20% of the nation jobless and then promise them that they will always get free money

Big Hollywood : Unions Threaten to Destroy 'Hobbit' Films; Peter Jackson Fights Back

"But Jackson fired back in a statement Sunday, saying the Kiwi organization represents a very tiny percentage of actors there, and is leveraging his production to gain membership." nothing it too minor for hollywood to go nuts about, especially involving unions I guess making a good movie or even making some money ranks pretty far below "unionizing a tiny subsection of actors on a single film"

Big Hollywood : 'Legend of the Guardians' Review: Visually Stunning, Strong Moral Tale

I'm surprised hugo weaving is taking part in a movie that is clearly favorable to a message that he is against, after all the crap he said about the iraq war also, the trailer says it's from the people who made "happy feet" the penguin movie about how global warming is killing the fluffy cute animals so I really can't say I will go see this movie, but the trailer does look really good

Big Hollywood : 'Dexter' Review: You Will Love This Serial Killer

I didn't think I would like the show at first, it sounded pretty much like csi miami without david caruso (basically, the "hero" kills another criminal each episode without consequence, and then says a cheesy one liner) not only is the show nowhere nearly that bad, but it might be one of the best shows ever. everything is handled intelligently and reasonably, and the show is not episodic so actions really do have consequences in successive episodes. most importantly, dexter is understandable as an unsympathetic yet undeniably interesting character. he really does things that the audience doesn't expect. the gore aspect is also much more effectively used for dramatic purposes, it's not really extreme but you are looking at the scene of a crime from the perspective of the police force a lot, the most graphic thing I can remember was the close up of a cross section of realistic looking bone that had been drained of blood. it's just one of the most imaginative and realistic shows that exists, if that makes sense.

Big Hollywood : TV We Like: You Don't Have to Like Louis C.K. to Like 'Louie'

as acidic and hateful as his opinion on palin is, his act is surprisingly apolitical. he is clearly an enemy of political correctness, which scores him a few points, and he is straight up undeniably talented (on top of being a writer for several decades now he has also directed a lot of work). he does admit to having some leftist views, but he is not a true leftist like jon stewart
