SmashPad : Community Call: How Long Should a Reviewer Play a Game?

I agree that it is different for certain genres, but if you have an obligations to your community and fellow coworkers than you should put in your best efforts. A site like Gamespot that may not lead the market in traffic but still gets enough to have an impact on the video game community should have taken more precautions for an action like this not to have taken place. An MMORPG is a massive game and as such I think Gamespot's 30 hour rule is good enough to understand what the game has to offer.

I remember playing this with my friend a couple days ago. He picked that giant yellow lego man and I swear my reaction was like "WTF" for the entire match. The craziness in that game is awesome XD

SmashPad : Achievements: Playing a Game ‘Their’ Way

I like achievements, they give me something to look forward to when I replay a game a second time. I beat Hitman Blood Money once than I went back trying to get the harder difficulty achievements, which forced me to form new strategies and such to win. It was quite exciting trying to achieve all 1000 in that game.

SmashPad : Review: New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)

Never heard of that site before, but there are a lot of sites out there that offer free games, but you have to watch out for offered trials where sites force you to trial subscriptions and such. These types of sites usually scam you into buying one of their subscriptions before you get any sort of reward.

Depending on if you played them before or not. I already knew my way around the games when I played them again and they only took me around 6-7 hours. The first time through can easily take you about 10 hours per game.

I was basing the character's name off screenshots and drawings of the game, so it is possible I was wrong about the character. He is never mentioned by name so it could be anything for all we know!

SmashPad : Where the Hell Are the Killzone 2 Ads?

I dont think I have seen one commercial either, and the closest I have seen on any new footage was the newly released trailer over a month ago. Sony fanboys know whats up, but for some other people (such as my friends who had no idea this game existed until I told them) I dont think they will be buying this game on day one because of the lack of publicity. Sony really needs to get their head on straight.
