Um... no. Sorry, but that's not even close to the message. Keep in my, Colbert is a satirist, everything he says in public is ironic. His point was that farm labor is hard work, and most Americans simply wouldn't do it. If we're going to be taking advantage of an entire population of people, the least we could do is provide them with some decent working conditions.

I don't know Jason, there is definitely a correlation, but I'm not sure it's true in all cases. Living on campus made it impossible for me to study because I was surrounded by people all the time, even at say the library. For someone who is really easily side tracked, I think living in one's own space may provide a better studying environment.

Hey now, I love my heinous five finger toe shoe things. Think about it this way: men don't get cool shoes! We have tennis shoes, and black shoes. That's about it. Women get all kinds of interesting and varied styles. We don't. I for one feel ripped off. Also, I'm a squirrel kid at heart- I love being barefoot! I just also hate getting stabbed in the foot by sharp things left on the ground. The toe shoes, however ugly or weird they may be, give me the best of both. And anyway, I'm not that styling to begin with.
