Maybe so but they represent their constituencies not England. Before Covid 19 when did you ever hear them say the word England? NEVER. The whole lot of them are spineless and utter not one word of protest when MPs elected outside of England vote on matters which only affect England. Thanks to their allowed interference and meddling in English only matters, tuition fees and foundation hospitals were introduced against the wishes of MPs with English seats and also the Sunday trading laws in England and Wales were only thwarted thanks to Scots MPs who didn’t want the competition along the border. Another glaring anomaly is once Scotland, Wales & NI choose their own Governments, they also choose who governs England. The Tories Have won the popular vote in England from 2001 onwards yet it took until 2015 to get the Government of its choosing which is why the Tories are idiots not to address either the English Question or the West Lothian Question.

Totally agree Darkwulf. There are a few on here who need to take their rose tinted glasses off and realise that the so called union died in 1998 when three parts of it were given their own Self determining legislatures and England was not for reasons of pure self interest by the then Labour Government. England is now at a disadvantage politically, constitutionally and financially and the Tory Governments we have had since, there by the grace of England, have done bugger all to address the rotten deal England gets from this so called union.

They are UK MPs in a UK Parliament who represent their constituencies which just happen to be in England. They DO NOT represent England. They represent the UK first and England last every time. If the Coronova virus hadn’t forced them to, they normally go out of their way to avoid at all costs even saying the word England even when they know full well most of what they are talking about only applies to it. England alone in the UK is voiceless and has no-one representing its interests either within the UK or wider world. Don’t take my word for it, ask England’s students, the only ones clobbered with £9,250 tuition fees or England’s sick the only ones charged for their prescriptions and hospital parking.

What four nations would that be then? Do you mean Scotland, Wales, NI and the United Kingdom. Politically England doesn’t exist. The devolved nations make their own decisions in their own interests whilst decisions made for England are still made by MPs from across the whole UK and often not in England’s interests.

One way to start would be to subject their pension contributions to the markets just as those in the private sector are.

Totally agree. Under major, Cameron, May and now Boris, there are only a handful of true Conservative MPs in the party masquerading as Conservatives. What we have now is a choice between Red Labour or Blue Labour and sadly having the FPTP system stitched up between them, it doesn’t look like we will ever have the chance of voting for a real Conservative Government any time soon.
