Buy Monsanto* seeds for as long as you want, but I'd much rather stick to the stuff that hasn't been genetically altered to produce more and nourish less. :)

Have you ever read some of the letters that our founding fathers wrote to each other? They often profoundly disagreed with one another, but they also often met with each other to have tea and discuss things other than politics. losdavos, respect is not the same thing as consent. We agree or disagree with someone's ideas based on what we hold true ourselves. But we respect other people for absolutely no other reason than that they ARE other people. And I suggest YOU never forget THAT . . . for your own sake.

I don't think she was denying it. I think she was agreeing with the idea that many people voted for Obama based solely on the color of his skin. O_O

As I'm sure you know, it's one thing to disagree, and it's another to slander. If you criticized the administration (assuming you're talking about the Bush administration) in a firm yet respectful way then you had every right to, and, speaking generally here, I'd say the biggest Bush supporters in the world would admit that. What so many people got upset about though wasn't the disagreement with "authority," but the disrespect of it. Bush, whether you agreed with his policies or not, was talked about and treated like a dog, and probably will be for a long time. No one should be viewed or spoken of that way.

I have an ever so slight problem with the fourth principle. If the parents are the absolute authority, then who's to say that a parent is wrong for "disciplining" his child by beating him? I know that's not what it means, and I agree that the government has no place to tell a parent how to raise their children, but the wording is a little off. I'm not so prissy as to get all flustered about that, but if you get technical about it . . . I'm just saying. Thoughts?

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Florida Tea Party Cancelled… But Why?

When I was in high school and studying the founding of America and Federalists versus the antifederalists I was always blown away by the people who supported the (British) crown in spite of their own welfare. How could they submit themselves to a ruler who has no true claim on their money or their lives? It makes more sense now that the EXACT SAME THING is happening WITHIN our own country. The government wants more and more power. How can we sit by and let them say "Well, yeah you can protest, but you have to give us money before you start, thereby defeating your very purpose." How stupid. People, then and now, support the "authority" because they are blind to what it can truly do. Plus side -- as Obama's leftist policies become more apparent, more people will wake up and go against them. Down side -- how long WILL it take for enough people to wake up to get rid of the corruption in the government? The longer we wait, the more the power the government has, and the more power the government has the more helpless the people become. Scary.

I didn't vote for Obama, but at one point I thought I might. He's a magnificent speaker, and he used that advantage to persuade people to vote for him. But your statement is proof of something -- more and more people are coming around and realizing that Obama, handsome and well-spoken though he is, is not qualified to be President of the United States. And the worst thing is that HE doesn't care! Instead of taking advice and being "bi-partisan" like he promised, he's just running head-first into any liberal idea that comes along. He's out of touch with the American people, and unless he gets his head out of Nancy Pelosi's rearend he'll wind up being the most economically and ethically devestating president we've ever had.

Just because someone believes in God doesn't mean they are a "Bible thumper." I have seen many of your comments, and, although many people have fought you, many people have reached past the difference of beliefs and offered to work with you to find a way to improve the state of our country. But I have only seen you bicker with the ones who disagree with you. Not once have I seen you offer anything insightful or constructive -- just God-bashing and Christian-hating. You're stereotyping every person who disagrees with you as a "Bible-thumping" Christian. Your generalizations and opinionated, irrational arguments are unwelcome here. I suggest you either provide thoughts which are constructive or find something better to do with your time than insult people.

"Alone I will be taken out, but together we the people represent a force greater than any other." That statement will be on a monument in D.C. one day. A monument made to celebrate the success of this project and the restoration of power to the American people. :) I'm totally making t-shirts.
My stand is that my rights end where someone else's begin. I don't want censorship, but I won't submit to living with what I deem as immoral; I will vote the way I believe -- that's what democracy is . . . people vote based on what they believe and the viewpoint with the most votes win. I read your posts often, Klash, and I like hearing what you have to say, but please be careful not to imply that Christians are irrational or mislead in believing what we do.

Speaking as a Christian, I believe individual rights are necessary to our world. On the side -- Christians believe that we are born into sin and thus are bound for hell by nature. In other words, it is our free will to CHOOSE to go to Heaven. Hell isn't a threat, it's a fact (we believe) . . . and we have the option to believe a certain way and go to Heaven instead. Anyway, if a Christian you know is trying to impose his morality on you, do us all a favor and punch him in the face. *Kidding . . . sort of. . . .* Jesus never taught to impose anything on anyone. Jesus Himself never tried to MAKE anyone believe anything or act any certain way -- He offered His guidance and let them go make their own choice. . . . (Continued in next comment)

I don't disagree with you. Someone I was commenting earlier pointed out that it's silly to think that shutting off your lights for one hour at a government appointed time is going to save the world is ridiculous. The person asked why not do it everyday? Shutting off your electronic appliances for several hours each day WOULD make a difference. For the record my belief grip on Global Warming is a weak, fading one. I am an advocate of the environment, not Mr. Gore, and my love for the earth runs deeper than "scientific evidence" of climate change. I've already stated several times that I at no point have said that Global Warming is an issue. Also, for the record, I intended the comment to which you relpied as a sarcastic joke. I regret that it was not taken as such.
