Michael Hyatt Blog : Five Strategies for Building New Habits

Michael, Great timing for me on this post. I just finished John Maxwell&#039;s &quot;PUT YOUR DREAM TO THE TEST&quot; (Published by TN, of course!) and listed about 7 bad habits that I need to overcome to achieve my dream. I cannot do them all at once, but look forward to working with my Building Champions coach to put a plan in place to break those habits. This will give me a head start!!

Mike, Great simplification. I could use some work on the Outposts as well as doing a better job of tying it all back to home base.

Michael Hyatt Blog : Answers to the Top 10 Twitter Objections

If you speak with my wife, she really claims # 8 for Facebook, and don&#039;t even mention Twitter. I have been attempting to explain to the GenX-er&#039;s that the Facebook/Twitter generation actually feel that social media actually feels more personal than a phone call to some folks and that text messaging for a teen is very personal...Ulitmately, it&#039;s difficult to overcome several of these with those who simply don&#039;t want to change...

Michael Hyatt Blog : What’s Still Missing from the Kindle 2?

The price point would have to be much lower. I would prefer to do it off my current laptop and it sounds like that reader technology is not that far off, so with a 3-year payback, I have to believe the technology would change must faster than my payback...

Michael Hyatt Blog : That eBook Thing Will Never Catch On

35-36 books?! You REALLY have to be a reader! My goal is one book per month, so that is a 3-year payback. Too long for me knowing that in less than 12 months the technology will simply change too much. Bring me a reader for the laptop and I&#039;m in! I like the &#039;look&#039; of a nice book on a bookshelf and the ease at which I can go back to pull it off the shelf, but the reader has so much potential in terms of bookmarking, blogging, and presentations. I think THAT is where the value needs to be...not in the price of the book...

Michael Hyatt Blog : Experimenting with Digital Delivery

From an operational perspective, I think publishers will need to get to more of an on-demand type of printing, thus reducing the wasteful inventory in the pipeline. I don&#039; tknow the data on spontaneity of book purchases, but I have to believe the old theory of printing a BUNCH reduces cost must be challenged in this environment. Outside of that, I look forward to participating in shaping the future of the industry.

Michael Hyatt Blog : The Not To-Do List

Great post, Michael. My recent thoughts on what not-to-do have been more internal than external(<a href="http://www.john-gallagher.blogspot.com)," target="_blank">www.john-gallagher.blogspot.com),</a> but as I move forward in a new career, I must get better at this. I will work on this during Spring Break next week...or wait...maybe I should have &quot;don&#039;t work on vacation&quot; on my not-to-do list? ;o)

Michael Hyatt Blog : Worry and Imagination: Two Sides of the Same Coin?

Great post, Michael. I recently blogged about my NOT to-do list and it was clear that the number 1 things I needed NOT to-do was worry about things outside of my control. WORRY is an energy vampire. IMAGINATION is an energy lifter. I clearly know the physical and mental differences in how I FEEL between these two.

Michael Hyatt Blog : The QuickStudy Guide to Social Networking

I have Tribes on my To Read list. Currently, I need to do some time blocking (Building Champions client!) to ensure that these forms of media don&#039;t engulf my time. Currently, I am reading Ready for Anything by David Allen. As far as other resources, I think following those who share interests with you are the best resources of &#039;how-to&#039;. As a Realtor, I specifically use some blogs there that help, including the Tomato Blogging Coach.

Michael Hyatt Blog : The Kindle After One Week

I have not yet purchased a Kindle and don&#039;t have immediate plans to purchase one. I do have significant interest, just not $300+ interest. I love the concept and if I traveled more, I would increase my desire for an e-reader (Sony or Kindle). I would love to try one out. I want to know how easy it is to highlight and &#039;file&#039; specific &#039;aha&#039; items. Currently, when I read a book, I highlight and then dogear. I would love to be able to do that by tagging the items under topics like you can with Google reader.

Michael Hyatt Blog : How to Update Your Facebook Status with Twitter

I also use the Ping.fm platform to update the networks I use. It can update all networks at once, or selected networks, including my blog. I still have some kinks to work out with it. I tend to use Ping for articles I want to share with business networks (LinkedIn and Plaxo), Twitter to update Twitter and Facebook, and Facebook for social updates. Seems a little cumbersome (it can be), but works for me right now. I just have multiple tabs in IE open for each service.
