Can someone please explain to me EXACTLY what Obama plans to do with the healthcare? Excuse my ignorance, but I am hopelessly confused on this topic. Any help is greatly appreciated. Please be as specific as possible- I want to understand this subject as best I can!

Words can't express how upset I am at myself for not sending this to y'all sooner, and if you guys have lost faith in me- it's completely understandable. I know this (in response to your question)!! And yeah, in all seriousness, we'll never get that Karl Marx's idea of communism- no one has. Like in Russia when instead of abolishing all social classes- two were created: The government and Everyone one else. And that's exactly what's gonna happen here if Obama keeps this up.

Hey all, I just wanted to apologize to anyone who thought I had completely ditched them and the Pledge of Allegiance experiment. I assure that I have continued to keep track of my daily experiences, yet have simply had the time to type them up and post it here. I have simply had an incredibly busy past week and a half. Since, this week is just as busy as the last, I most likely won't be able to post my daily observations over the course of this week. However, I plan on posting all of my data in final format (which I will then send to the school newspaper) here early next week. Basically, I just wanted to let y'all know that I have not deserted you. I hope you understand.

MY (JOHN) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE EXPERIMENT: Day 22 (April 23, 2009) Being Thursday and having to be in biology class as the school television show was going on, my usual plan was to go to the bathroom and on my way would stop and say the Pledge of Allegiance alongside the student on the T.V. reciting it. However, my plan was compromised when my teacher wouldn’t let me go straight to the bathroom (I guessed he noticed a pattern). So, I ended up reciting it at Lunch. No one cared and nothing else happened. [End]

Sorry for not posting yesterday, but when trying the access this- I kept getting a "Error Database Connection" message. ---------------------------------------------------------- MY (JOHN) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE EXPERIMENT: Day 20 (April 21, 2009): I was in orchestra class when the Pledge of Allegiance was said over the television. I was hoping for a repeat of the day when other kids stood up alongside me to say the Pledge. And as luck would have it…. I was once again alone. For some strange reason, I felt much more “alone” when saying the Pledge of Allegiance today than I usually feel. It was a very strange feeling, to be honestly. It felt as if I was truly the only person saying it in the class. Meaning, occasionally I’ll see other kids at least acknowledge what is going on, but this time, it felt as if now one even remotely cared. Furthermore, one of my friends who was sitting next to me at the time said (after I was done saying the Pledge of Allegiance), “John, you realize you were the only one saying the Pledge, right?” I nodded. I then asked, “Well [friend’s name], why didn’t you say it with me?” He shrugged and responded, “I’m too lazy and don’t really wanna get up an’ say it.” Well, I guess that explains it. I mean, it’s just stupid words- why waste the little energy to stand up and say meaningless words?* [End] *sarcasm Day 21 (April 22, 2009): Just like every other Wednesday of the week, I was in the gym locker rooms getting changed when the Pledge of Allegiance was said over the intercom. And just like every other Wednesday of the week, I was ignored by the few kids around me. [End]

I have lost the little hope/faith in Obama I had. It's sad when I can't even support my president anymore. I mean, don't get me wrong, I never was in favor of Obama, but he's the president- I feel, regardless of who it is, I, as an American, should support the president of my country. But I've simply given up on Obama. We have no president, just a guy screwing off.

MY (JOHN) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE EXPERIMENT: Day 19 (April 20, 2009): I am finally back from school vacation. Anyways, I never heard the Pledge of Allegiance actually ever said today- which is surprising considering the principal has been consistently saying the Pledge of Allegiance every morning for some time now. So, I reverted back to the ol’ plan B: saying the Pledge of Allegiance at during Lunch. I did just that. Unfortunately, no one seemed to notice. While I definitely had some higher expectations considering what I experienced Day 17, I am not surprised either. [End]

That's not what I meant. You were saying to ditch the old parties and make a 912 party. So, I was trying to say what's the point becase the 912 party, the way I see it, would be conservative. And when there are conservatives, there are liberals. Therefore, we would still have a republican and democratic party. Do you kinda understand what I mean?

912 party would still be considered conservative becasue that's exactly what a conservative is: traditionalists. At least that's the way I see it.

And just a suggestion to the editor/webmaster: I personally think it would be a better idea to set this up as more of a forum than as posting comments. It would just make more sense and be less "cluttered." That's just my opinion anyways. : /

MY (JOHN) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE EXPERIMENT: Day 18 (April 8, 2009): Unfortunately, the same experiences I had yesterday cannot be said for today. In other words, the Pledge of Allegiance was said today over the intercom and I said it once again, by myself. However, I was in a practically empty gym locker during the time the Pledge of Allegiance was being said; which significantly decreased the little chance I had for seeing anyone recite the Pledge of Allegiance along with me. [End] **Note: I have April break starting Friday and ending Sunday of next week. I just don’t want anyone to think I stopped doing this “experiment.”

While we've had our fair shares of screwups in the past, you sir have hit the nail squarely on the head. Bravo. :) Though, I will say- I do believe that Americans sometimes straddle the line between patriotism and arrogance (this is at least what I observe). Regardless, Obama needs to understand that THE CAMPAIGN IS OVER.

MY (JOHN) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE EXPERIMENT Day 17 (April 7, 2009): I am happy to announce great news to all of you today! The Pledge of Allegiance was said during orchestra on the high school T.V. show this morning. And finally, I was ecstatic to see that I was not the only one to actually stand up and recite the Pledge of Allegiance out of the entire freshman orchestra this morning! While I was accompanied by a mere three other people, the fact that they did this on their own (and I hope that I influenced this decision of theirs) pleased me. It’s Day 17 and finally people have begun to actually recite the Pledge of Allegiance (at least in my classes). Hopefully, this trend keeps up. [End]

I seemed to be completely ignored while I was saying the Pledge of Allegiance along with the principal over the intercom. I hope at least when I send this article/experiment to the school newspaper will people notice my efforts in doing something every American should do.
