Antiwar Newswire : 9 Vt. state office candidates favor secession

While Secession is a useful tool, the people in Vermont are great at self-delusion to the point of stunning, jaw-dropping silence when I hear them with their silliness). Vermont has the highest taxes in the country and they don't realize that the socialism is the problem, not the solution. It's telling that the first thing they want to do is institute the thing that has made the US bankrupt: Social Security. Combine that with Vermont's anemic business sector and you have a state that is on the dole and takes more than it produces from the United States ... a recipe for bankruptcy.... although reality would certainly strike quickly... the conservative majority would likely take over pretty quickly in Vermont. So by all means, separate and then the libertarians will have the proof of our points conclusively right here in the U S of A. (as if the Soviet Union wasn't proof enough) Vermont by in large is what is wrong with the United States. They would be an excellent case study in how to fix the US and no loss to the US in the process... unless you like armpit hair in women, maple suryp (which you can get from Canada that tastes just as good) and super low speed limits and hostility towards any progress that isn't a Toyota Prius.
