Theodore Hertzl had his own rude awakening, during the Dreyfuss Affair. He saw then the pervasiveness and depth of anti-Semitism, and it shocked him. It is ironic that this lunatic Muslim cleric confuses Hetzl, a lawyer and journalist, with Alfred Nobel, the Swedish chemist and industrialist.
