Chuck,

“Parking isn't a problem due to too many unrelated people living in a residence. Parking could be just as bad if the same number of people lived in a residence but happen to be related.”

Agreed, but families with 6 or more immediate family members each with their own car is more of a rarity than a household of 6 or more unrelated occupants. Another possibility is multiple related families living in the same house but how often does each of them have their own car? For example, (full disclosure) my son’s family is currently living with us while building a house but none of their kids are old enough to drive. Yes there are situations where multiple generations or aunts and uncles and cousins are living under the same roof but again how often does this occur?

I still maintain that the most common scenario to have 6 resident’s cars parked in front of the house is when the occupants are unrelated.

“Parking is a problem because the city owns the on-street parking, which effectively boils down to no one owning the on-street parking. The city should sell on-street parking spaces to the public, and there should be a street parking market. Problem solved.”

I guess I would have to think about that for a while. My first thoughts are that it would be a complex and bureaucratic solution to a limited problem. It would be a boon however for the tow truck drivers...e.g. on game days Denver issues parking permits to local residents around Sports Authority field. The tow trucks prowl the streets like flies on hot dogs.

Don't forget parking. Ever lived next to a house with a single car driveway and six cars? The landlords don't care as long as the rent is paid on time.

Assuming this is a true story, the only person worthy of criticism is someone who would accept a bag of unknown contents from a random stranger to carry into a public building.

Is this racism or white privilege? No. Just a heads up act of due diligence. Kudos to the woman for doing the right thing. Perhaps the LTE author and his friend should take a step back and realize the uncomfortable and potentially dangerous situation the other woman was put in.

Google is coming to Boulder, self driving cars, IoT (Internet of things) is a solution looking for a place to happen, it's all becoming clear isn't it? The master plan is underway.

SC can we assume that you are a Lycra clad cyclist that uses old people and small children as pylons as you attempt to set new land speed records from points A to B with no accountability?

BTW, "angry-old-man-fantasy" - the letter writer is named MaryAnn. Her Letter articulates from her point of view some problems and proposes some solutions. Agree with them or not at least it her points create an exchange of ideas. How about yours?

Mr. Lamb, you neglected to mention and I forgot, was their raise from $200 to $400 a month or $400 to $800 a month?

Outrageous!

Aww you were doing so well. I was actually agreeing with you (maybe for the first time ever) until your last two unnecessary cheap shots.

BTW, I don't have a yacht.
