I think it would be better in a "public" part of the park where fans can look for the sig of there favorite MET. Kinda like thw walk of fame on Hollywood Blvd. Lets get this thing rolling.

I went to THE FIRST GAME EVER at CitiField against the Red Sox and I did not feel like I was at a Mets game at all. There is no blue and orange and th stadium is like a homage t the old Brooklyn Dodgers. I mean the Dodgers left NY , what, over 50 yeras ago, get over it. The Mets have plenty of history, the 69 Miracle Mets, the 73 Ya Gotta Beleive Mets and of course the 86 we are the champions METs and lets not foget that reat team from 1999-2000. We have plenty to celebrate and be proud of as METS fans. The big question is what is wrong with the "owners" not wanting to see this? The Marlins have banners of the 97 and 03 teams up? The new stadium is nice, but, it was a sell out to corporate america. From where I was sitting I could NOT see any play in the leftfield corner and I missed at least 2. Thank God for th replay on the big screen. We need more METS stuff around to make it feel like home. I remember seeing a banner of "Ty Wiggs" at Shea and he only played thrd for a year. LETS GO METS, get some more "stuff" around and get this Dodger junk out of your heads.

GREAT WIN!! This is the second time that we did NOT hear Takinn Care of Buisness after a win, infact, I dont recall hearing any song? It just does not seem like a METS game without that :{

OMG, we almost had another come from ahead loss!!! This game was ugly and we should not have this much trouble with the only other team that is as bad as we are. My big concen ib Boobtran, twice he came to bat with the bases loaded and what did he do, STRIKE OUT! We need mor productive out from these guys in those situations. Even Santos in his first MLB at bat grounded out to third, but, drove in the run from third. Another thing that is an issue ib the constabt give back's. We score 3 runs early and by the 5th we are behind by a run or two, that as to stop also. I was thrillied to see Shef hit 500 and tie the game and Castillo win it with a nubber. It should not have been that close, but, a WIN is a WIN and we will take anyway we can.

MetsBlog.com : Read: Five Facts, Five Thoughts

I know the Jackie Robinson "thing" but what is the deal here. He did NOT play for the METS and yet we have a huge 42 and a rotundra named after him? The stadium does NOT feel like the METS home field at all. It could be the Yankees or any other team. Where is the blue and orange? Where are the banners of Piazza and Seaver? There are some B&W banners around the outside, but, the inside is very antisceptic. That plus the team playing real bad ball and we dont have much to get excited about.

MetsBlog.com : Note: Close, but Inconsistent Offense

what about the security guard kicking the ball in Florida? That should have been a run as well. The sad truth is we should not even be making excuses and talking about "what If's" that is what bad teams do. We should not have even been in a place that one run made a difference against these teams, what is going to happen when we do play a real team? They have got to turn this thing around and fast. We are 4 games out and the only team worse than us is the NATS!!! This team is NOT playing well at all and something needs to be done before we get buried. This is not the strong start that we all wanted and it is hard to watch these games. Its like a flashback to 2007-2008. WAKE UP GUYS!!!!

MetsBlog.com : Quotes: Maine and Manuel on Maine's Struggles

This team is really BAD, right now. We all have a hang-over from 2006, 2007 and 2008. Until this team can proove that they are over that hump and have truly forgotten the previous 3 seasons it will always hang over them. I am really dissappointed in the way they play and this 500 start, IF they get it going soon we will find ourselves in a deep hole looking UP at four other teams, and tha is a place we dont want to be. YES, its early, but it i getting late fast. These are all games tht we should have won and lost. It just seems like more of the same old same to me. A good team, but, not a GREAT team. We are always a brides maid and never a bride.

This team really stinks, BAD!! We have lost the two of the first three series we played. The only team worse than th METS is the NATS!! When are the METS going to fight back and answer all the trash talk with a big WIN. They lost the first game at Citifield and with Dirty and Bell as set up and closer. Im getting tired of this team rolling over and loosing. WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO WAKE THEM UP? When we miss the playoffs again by a few games we can look back and say these where the games. The next thing will be the Phillies kicking our butts and then the Braves. WAKE UP METS!! enough with the talk its time to walk the walk and get some W's.

Another tough loss, It's early, we have alot of baseball to play, we will get them next time, bad hop, tough break, bad call, where have we heard this before? Enough with the cheap talk and excuses, just go out and WIN. If Seaver throwing to Piazza in the opening of our new stadium was not enough to light a fire under these guys what is? As a METS fan I dont get any respect (Rodney Dangerfield pun). If this team can't win in 2009 then I think we are cursed and it will be another 86 years. We have a good team, I think, and a better pen, we should be doing better. Lets just hope we can win the series and move on.

What a Joke this team is. We are only 7 games into the seaons and it seems like more of the same old same. The first batter hits a HR in our new park and we take the loss in our new park, this is what we have to look foward to? One big let down after another. When we loose on the last game of the season to some team playing 400 baseball we can look back at this game and say this is the reason. we have to stop playing GIVE BACk with these teams and start to crush them. WE NEED TO MAKE A STATEMENT. WIN, WIN, WIN. Come out strong does not mean 3-4, lets go mets !!

These last 2 games looked painfully familure, like a flashback to last year. The team fought back and did not give up, but, yo ucould see the way the wind was blowing in Cicy and last night, It is still early, but, we still have to win these games now so that we dont come down to the last game of the season for a third year.

MetsBlog.com : Post-Game: Mets 4 Red Sox 3

Did anybody DVR the game? I drove down from Vermont and I would love to have the game on DVD to watch. Can anybody help me out? Thank You. Now a few thoughts on the new stadium. As I watched the game I felt like I was watching the METS play an away game, it just does not feel like home, yet. I was sitting in section 532, row 5 and when a ball was hit into left field we could not see the plays. What is the deal with the homerun line being up and down all around the stadium? I know that there are food places every twenty feet, but, yo still have to wait forever to get food, These "huge" promonade's, where are they? It was so crowded walking around that is was crazy. There where only 38,000 people there, imagine a full house? I think the team put to many private and deluxe seats in the new stadium. Even at field level you cannot walk up the the field, There is a concrete "box" next to the field. The pen, need I say more. After all the complaints, I thought the new place was awsome and I cant wait to attend the World Series there. LETS GO METS !!!
